Just checked mine, locked flashes once and interior light goes out, unlocked flashes twice and interior light illuminates until ignition started or time elapsed. One press on the remote unlock symbol opens drivers door, second press in succession opens both doors and tailgate, single press of lock symbol locks everything and activates the interior anti theft (assuming its not turned off with the button in the rear footwell). This is how the manual describes it ......... it says the indicators flash but not how many times, however the Mk5 Golf does the same sequence.
The master door lock has multiple micro switches that all need to be working for the expected sequences to arm / disarm, from memory on the Mk5 indicator lights not coming on locking indicates that one or more of the locks is faulty and not completing the expected sequence and needs checking, worn out solenoids in a lock does this.
The unlock operation depends on the coding. There is an option you can change with vcds so you can unlock all the locks with one press of the remote or like as you described.
Im also betting on one of the door lock modules is faulty. I had same sort of issues with my mk4. It didn't flash when locking and randomly the passenger door didn't lock or unlock.

Does it lock both doors?

Polo gti ECU? If yes i´ll have it.

Thats some dodgy looking wiring there.

So only code remaining is: 17526 - oxygen (lambda) sensor heating b1 s2 open circuit
Could this be due decat? I think the sensor might have been damaged as I had to hammer it out. Wiring seems to be fine.
Another thing Im wondering is what are the oem fuel pump and injectors capable of?

Tried an oxygen sensor emulator? Used in LPG conversions.
I'll look into that.

What do you mean? The ECU is sampling the TPS many times a second, so it knows exactly what's going on. If you're talking about the throttle valve opening delay, that is part of the emissions control program. In days of old, carburettors used to squirt a neat jet of petrol in to the mix to quench the mix. Nowadays, the ECU allows the revs to build up as it gradually opens the throttle, keeping a reasonably high plenum vacuum until full demand is met. Ok, so it all happens in about 1/2 a second....
I don't know, but there seems to be a delay between when you push the gas pedal and the throttle valve operates.

I think your engine light is coming from the decat
Yes I know that but it shouldn't effect the readings on the first 02 sensor only the second.

Gearbox turned out fine. Not perfect but no one will ever see it so...
And Lupo is running again. Flywheel feels great and exhaust sounds nice. Too bad I'm getting some random codes from both 02 sensors. I don't believe the manifold is leaking as I've checked it many times but somehow sensor 1 is seeing too much oxygen now. Might need a remap. I did put a spacer on the second sensor trying to trick the ecu but seems like thats not working either.

That sounds awesome! Do you still have the resonator in?

Has anyone tried to eliminate the throttle pedal latency with vcds? I think it might be possible.

Ok so tighten until bolt snap +1/4 turn with 3/4 1000mm breaker bar?

I wonder what that is? Something that can take 800c red hot, and not get destroyed. Bit of exhaust gasket perhaps. Interesting.
That piece is just some paint chip off the block that happened to fall in there but the cell looks pretty much collapsed imo.

Took the transmission out. Seems like some of the previous owners had done the clutch already as I think oem one would be LUK.
Epytec lightweight flywheel going in and new clutch parts just for the sake for it.
Need to weight the oem flywheel for comparison.
I think I will give the transmission a good clean with pressure washer and maybe some paint as it looks filthy now.
