  3. It was more that I had the lights with ther sensors already that I wanted to do an oem + there being a passat in my local that may have the rest. I saw on mkiv.net that the bonnet release has a micro swith but they are not all wired in to the car. Its the oem thing I'm looking for as its just finding what ccm I will need. Depends whether a passat one will work in the lupo (windows, cl, etc. ?) I would go after market if I didnt thjnk I could handle this install. Although saying that no one so far has mentioned vag tacho until now. :s Whats the sku? I feel like I've missed something I love this help so far and I am really excited to get stuck in. Would it be worth loking for a lupo gti ccm as they use one of the light sensors I have and have an alarm switch under the passenger seat/ b pillar area
  4. For the oem fit I have found that you need Ccm sensors alarmed deadlocks (doors bot and possibly bonnet) Remote key coding siren interior switch Possibility for complete closure through the remote key I'm not sure on wiring as of yet but that could all become aparant later on

  8. So I feel it's between bernard and arnold, I'm following both and I feel its the vinyl on the side and the possible 3L front end that is gaining my vote for bernard alig with the mk2 dash which has been somthing I want to do
  9. I didnt realise the subframes where different. I knew they share the same wishbones bushes and ball joints as the others (except GTi (and maybe 3L?)) And I know tou cant fimd a poly bush dogbone for them

  12. So was the OP a 1.7 or 1.9 sdi and was it a pd engine before the head change and porting etc how come you didnt use a pd150 gttdi to begin with

  14. I had a nice sdi before, lowered on 7.5j teledials with offset ETs. Dented one wheel and then got 7j cookie cutters then had a run in on with a bus bending a driveshaft f'd a wheel and destroyed the bumper wing bonnet and door as well as setting off the airbags... I just want to get this to a similar standard. I've got cloth mk4 recaros, 3l steering wheel, changed the tim tom door cards out for grey cloth from the sdi.next is arosa middle vent section and modding the rear to fit in mk4 bench

  17. Oem would be good if I can slavage as many parts as possible but I would be interested in if an aftermark could use the rear sensor/lights that I have got

I was wondering if anyone may know what I would need to fit the gti alarm sensor/lights and siren etc. Any information upon this and alarm systems in general that may help will be overly appreciated. I'd love to do topic on it for others when it is done. I currently have standard central locking with aftermarket remote. I also have mk4 switch visors with the vanity lights and rear two sensor lights. Sadly didnt get the main centre light as I'm an idiot Hoping maybe a Gti member may know or even skezza as I know he's pretty sh-hot on elec and tech
  20. I was so glad the Passat behind me didn't get caught in the eye of the storm On the note of repairing this, does anyone know how to get the aerial wire through from the dash of a 9n. Got it all off down the A pillar and I have removed the lower dash. Now I feel I need to either remove the glove box or is it going to run behind the air bag.
  21. Just sewm to be really knowledgeable and know 'quick fixes' £150 car, bosh no problem. Sorted and drives fine now. How many luoos have you got/owned now then
  22. So the other day in this shi-ocking weather, my shark fin aeriel caught the wind. I was on the motorway, and heard one knock, two knocks then, letting out and almight crack, ths outer shell tore off from the two screws holding it on. I have had to cling film wrap the circuit board to stop the rain getting into my car. Currently looks like one of those 'nailed it' moments Getting a long 9n one off the scrappy tomorrow plus a couple of other bits and bobs for about a fiver.
