  1. Fully working gearbox. I have done 15k in 2 and a half years of ownership (I bought it the day I bought my car) Never skipped a beat. Can come with the engine too £250 collected from Saffron Walden or £275 with engine still attached 07478 708 313
  2. I've got one for sale £250 collected from Saffron Walden All works fine. I don't check here much so youll need to text me 07478 708 313 If its still needed
  3. Well considering I have 2 insurance policies with them on a Lupo and a Mk2 Jetta I want them cheap as possible. And believe it or not I don't get it for free, I still have to pay for it!!!
  4. I know, like I said, I work for HIC, my own insurance company.... Thanks for that, will check them out!
  5. Wouldn't say a few hundred. I have been quoted £120 fitted, just wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience. Never needed w/screen cover before as had a Corrado where it would be cheaper to replace yourself than pay an excess and have someone else do it for you!
  6. OK, before anyone says it, yes I work for my insurance company, but no, as I am only TPFT I do not have windscreen cover. I need someone to supply and fit a new one as mine has a horrific crack all the way along! Can anyone help please?
  7. You've obviously never owned a Corrado then
  8. 118bhp? from a 1.4.
  9. I worry too much, I'm so excited about going but just worry, especially with us going end of November. Duvet will be going incase anything does happen and its sub zero conditions. & he likes to be different and with the amount of smoke from it he looks like a steam train!
  10. We supply breakdown for UK and EU for £53.00 Includes home-start and roadside assistance for up to £3000 Only downside is you need to have a policy with us to have one unless you buy online
  11. I'm looking forward to taking it and we were going to take Chris' van but he was worried he would get arrested with it and would rather have issued with he Police in this country and not Poland where he doesnt understand what they are saying!! & that would have a much higher chance of breaking than the loop haha
  12. Its more than a 1000miles as we are going to make a few stops along the way. My issue is that I like to be prepared!!!
  13. Just to be practical n wheel bearings are fine they would be useful I changed the Corrado ones on the side of the road before no issues!! As said I do have full breakdown but only to being me home. If we have a small issue on the way there I would like to have the parts ready to sor there and then. So belts, fluids, wheels bearings and that would probably be it!
  14. Luckily I work at HIC and have all the correct cover and EU breakdown already. I'm already aware of everything needed as it is something that I need to know as part of my job. I really needed to know more on parts that would be best to take.. Wheel bearing is a good shout and the gearbox has only just been changed in it in the last few months I'd love to take the Jetta but the engine isn't in yet!!!
  15. Anybody taken their Lupo over to Poland Me & Chris are driving to Poland in November, we were gonna take his van but due to the fact it wouldn't probably get impounded if we did, we have decided to take the Lupo. My main issue would be the gearbox pooping itself. But any advise on parts to take/care to take or things to watch out for?
  16. PIC WITH CUSTARD *non e38 members ignore*
  17. Jetta update! After a pretty awesome weekend at edition. I was the one person who came back with the most parts! Thanks to Matt from the states for some of them and chris for sourcing them My selection of goodies US tub and plate to be fitted also got the UK spec front pressed plate also. Engine cover which I think I might try painting the letter to match the colour of the block itself! Little bits, the badge will have the last "I" taken off for Jetta II and seatbelt light with it. And finally.... Hella Heckespoiler which is brand new never fitted and truely truely awesome!!!! This Jetta is gonna have an awesome ass

  19. Also, don't be led to believe that all "posher" places are better for insurance either. See it this way: Posher area. More expensive cars. 1x expensive car gets stolen. £30k+ payout. Less posh area. Less expensive cars. For this to be equal to the above, X amount of cars would need to be stolen to match the payout. Sounds silly, but the insurers want to be paying out LESS as, at the end of the day, they are a business and making money is what they want to do. Its a pain, I know, and I don't get it sometimes either?!
  20. NO! THEY ARE HIDEOUS They are currently on Adams Mk2 whilst its sat in the garage, looks schwwweeeeet! NOT! Haha Yeah we love our drive
