Hi all, the time has come to put my Lupo up for sale I have owned the car for about 3 years and it has been a great little car, however, I now have a MK5 Golf Gti and the Lupo has fallen by the wayside a little bit. I would much rather it go to someone that can give it the use it deserves!! The car itself is a '52 plate and bodywise isn't too bad, a few minor dents here but on the whole not bad for its age. I have removed the side mouldings from the doors & 1/4 panel but other than that the exterior is pretty standard. There is around 95000 on the clock and is MOT'd until Nov 2015 (will double check) and taxed until Aug 2015 It is on a set of black ATS cups and lowered on springs. Inside, again it is pretty much standard, there is a JVC headunit (nothing spectacular) and it has uprated JBL component speakers (again nothing too spectacular) The interior is very tidy and in very good condition for the car! I also have a spare headlining that is covered in marvel comic fabric which can go with the car if anyone wants it (would make a nice start to a project) and also I do have a couple of spoilers for the tailgate (offers on either or both can go with the car, one is a 2 piece and the other is a full spoiler but can't remember the make!) This is really just a gauge to see if anyone is interested in a good, fairly standard car to turn into a decent project. Had exactly the same problem on my passenger window and now got it on my drivers one as well! Seems to be a common issue with Lupo's, i just got a replacement regulator and motor from scrappies and that cured it. Plenty of other threads on here with advice etc

Ahh i thought it maybe was the same. Will have a look when i come to stripping the car down for painting. Thanks for the advice, will post up again if I get stuck lol

After a fair amount of searching i finally got myself a spoiler for the Lupo, only snag is the brake light that came with it is pretty knackered (casing and housing has been cracked and glued a lot by the lookis of it). Just wondering if anyone knows if you can get replacement lights for the spoiler (MS Design) or if another light would fit?? If not I will probably just look at smoothing off the spoiler and have no high level brake light. Any help or suggestions would be most welcome Dan

right, have (hopefully) sourced a Lupo sport that is being broken and have the opportunity to get replacement motors and regs, just wondered if all the Lupo sports came with the same motor for the windows or is it hit and miss whether the plugs are the same?? The car I have found is about 2 years older than mine. If anyone knows it would be a good help

I should be ok as my Dad works in a bodyshop lol so fairly well qualified to tinker with it all the buttons are ok ( have swapped them over and replaced the knackered one), will have to see what we come up with

I have read your guide (massively helpful) and tried the reset thing, did nothing!! also tried moving the glass maually to see if its stuck, that did nothing, next job is to remove the motor completely and check wires etc. Already trying to source a new regulator and motor (if I can find one cheap enough lol) will post up if I have any issues or get it fixed many thanks

is there different types of motor available?? keep reading things about multi plug and two prong plug? take it one won't work with the other? if anyone can shed some light that would be a big help

Right have done a bit of searching through old threads and I'm pretty sure my motor has packed in (on the n/s). It will click when operating the switches and it also gets warm (so must get power) but no movment in window. Tried the old 'hit the door' trick, no joy. Before I go for a new window does anyone else have any other ideas? If not does anyone have or know where to get a new motor from (other than dealer)??

just out of interest, does anyone know how much the wheels would be worth? They could do with a refurb ideally, although they do come up ok after a good clean

they are 15's btw i'll have to find out the et and other figures when i get a chance. they do catch on the calipers fairly badly so it will need spacers I would have thought.

pretty sure they're not hub centric. It is a bit crazy tbh, at least I can say it wasn't my decision to fit them

of course pain in the arse to change a wheel though lol

well if I had to hazard a guess I would have to say they must be an inch wide (25mm??) they seem mahoosive. Would smaller spacers do the job?? If I can get them to fit a little better I may keep them and get them tidied up a bit

thanks for all the suggestions guys, appreciate it with regards to the spacers, I aren't 100% sure what they are, I know they're not hub centric though. Only need them to clear the calipers. Should really have measured them when i had them off the other day. Any suggestions on how to fit them better? May have a rethink if i can get them sorted, also what size tyres would be best suited, am due to replace them in the near future so may as well do it right!

so basically i really don't like my wheels! They came with the car and at first I thought I could live with them but really starting to bug me all the time now, hate the fact they need ridiculous spacers lol. Thinking of going for a set of G60 steels, nice and simple. Any opinions or other ideas would be most welcome here is how it is at the moment
