  1. Hi all, not been on here for a while. Arosa got written off Cat C but planning on building to a track car as its great apart from the hole in the rear quarter where a tractor opened it like a tin can! I am at uni doing a research project into how dangerous people perceive UK's roads with the potential in incorporating a hypothetical road design within a master planning design. The survey is for car drivers and completely anonymous, it will take about 1 to 2 minutes to complete. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9N6W2TH If you could help out it would be very much appreciated Thanks again!!
  2. Answer was that it was over fuelling and flooding itself, no reason why it has now righted itself. Dried plugs, started with fuse 34 out (fuel pump) which allowed to dry then put back in as it started to starve. Cheers for your suggestions!
  3. Any Ideas, Arosa 1.4 16v No fault codes on VAGCOM Has spark Has Fuel Turns over It tries to fire but wont start, I dried all the plugs due to suspect flood and it fired for a second then stopped. It has been losing a little water but I would be surprised if it lost all compression over night One thing I did notice is that the plugs did seem very wet from one short 5 second crank of the engine I am wondering if it is throwing too much fuel in due to a dodgy throttle sensor (i did recalibrate on vagcom) Any help would be appreciated
  4. Hi all, new to the forum Have a Canica Blue Arsoa Sport (is my girlfriends) Yesterday I did the job of stripping down the EGR and Throttle Body to clear out the 10 years of grime and build up. Ran vagcom adaption of EGR and throttle and OMG... its like a different beast. Now we have way more bottom end, you can really hear the grunt of the induction with increased throttle response and it is pulling nicely from 2000 rpm. I was honestly shocked how much difference it made to the car as it must have been way down on torque. This is a job that is really worth doing!!! The next job will be to strip down the intake manifold and clean out all the engine breathers will post a little how to if I have time.
