  1. Borbet ONLY made the A in 7.5x16 and 9x16 in VW and BMW fitments. Don't think they ever did Alfa fitment (4x98). If you look on Borbets website it tells you how to spot copies. Remotec are decent reps, but wont be stamped with Borbet.
  2. Yes. But they're not Borbets. Probably Remotecs.
  3. Number of reasons: Crap tyres Incorrect air pressures Uneven wear Bad geo (camber/toe etc...) Driving too fast for the conditions.
  4. It does sound a lot like a dicky thermostat.
  5. Holy moly. By my reckoning if its under a tonne that'll be around 500hp/tonne power/weight ratio. For reverence: Westfield Sport 2000S - (463) Ferrari Enzo - (484) Ariel Atom 3 245 - (498) Caterham 7 R500 - (520) Bugatti Veyron 16.4 - (521) Ultima GTR - (548)
  6. Don't you own a car with a tuned red top 'transplanted' into it?
  7. Wheel alignment place. Google for somewhere local.
  8. I once had two ford Sony stereos, started one at .99p, sold for £135, started one at £100 and it never sold. People on eBay are weird.
  9. You'll never sell owt on ebay unless you start it at 99p
  10. Badges, bump strips, second lowering springs, used 15" alloys. Less than £500 spent, tasty lupo.
  11. So many more options that look nicer than sticker bombing. Have you looked into hydro dipping?
  12. This. But I suppose if your going for a stand alone ecu then you could get pretty much any engine. The 1l ecoboost engine is tiny, but I think the best engine for the Lupo would the 1.4 TSI
  13. I had a dark blue sport with vw factory fitted parking sensors. The most utterly pointless thing in the universe.
  14. My 1.4 16v makes the same sound. Not causing any issues but it is pretty annoying on cold starts.
  15. Pretty much the perfect way to do a five. Think your budget may need to be stretched a bit unless you want one you can work on.
  16. Yeah it really needs lowering!
  17. Hybrid turbo, running 5x440cc injectors and driven like a bellend at every safe opportunity. Did a few track days/30-130 runs too.
  18. Try running a Focus ST. I worked out over 3 years I averaged 14.1MPG!

  20. A few nice lupo's made an appearance last night, just wondered if it was anyone from here?
  21. Our local VW specialist has an up! as the courtesy car, I love leaving my car with them just to borrow it. Engine makes a great noise and you can't go fast enough to get yourself into trouble.

    Induction Kits.

Induction kits only work if the location of the filter is sensible and the inner bore of the induction pipe is smooth. Creating disturbances and vortexes is really bad for the engine. I tried a few different induction kits on my Focus ST and they made a big difference, but this was on a reasonably high power turbo car. I'm not overly convinced an induction kit on a 120-125ish bhp engine is worth it. Replace the filter element with a performance on and drill the air box pre filter.
