  1. Yeah the cable is the oem one that would go into the back of an airbag where you can plug in the resistors so you avoid the dash light. Plus can connect the new steering wheels horn. These don’t come with the kit so I bought this from the VW dealer. Basically allows you to fit an aftermarket wheel.
  2. Momo steering wheel boss kit - £40 Used for under a year. Genuine VW airbag cables as well for horn and airbag resistor.
  3. I have a pair of Recaro Pole Positions with red backs in good condition £780
  4. Anyone able to help here with a TDI? Here is a pic I found of a Polo TDI engine with the battery terminal. It has a wire which the lupo does not have. Here are a couple of my battery terminal and looks like I am maybe missing a few parts by this (parts 16 and 17). I have 5 terminals but every ebay one I see for lupos are 4: http://www.partsbase.org/vw/lupo-lupo-3l-tdi-lu-eu-2001-91500-battery-mounting-battery-battery-venting-battery-cover-fuse-socket/#p-vw-6x0998550a
  5. Is the fuse box terminal situated on top of the battery on the TDI the same as on all other lupos? The lid is missing from mine so fancy a fresh one but thought better check before searching for one.
  6. As soon as you pass 100k your £1500 investment will be worth £150. Sell up before you are declared bankrupt.
  7. Got the car started last night and the battery voltage jumped from 11.4V to 14V when idle. Think when the battery is put under load it is just too weak. So I have ordered a Bosch S5 battery which hopefully will sort things out. Thank you for the advise.
  8. Jon are you able to share details of the fix? All seems very secretive!
  9. Would the car still run ok without the squirt? I take it under the seat there are two functions to this pump? One when running and one to prime and since my car was running fine it is just the primer which is goosed?
  10. I will get a mate to pop round to jump start the car then check if the voltage across the battery moves to near 14v to check if the battery is being charged. I will probably check the voltage on the alternator too to double check. I am thinking perhaps the battery is nearing the end and under the load of starting the car it can not cope.
  11. This morning the Lupo would not start. All the dash lights would light and go out apart from the battery one. Turn the key and the engine would turn a couple of times but not start and the car would stop trying to start after a couple of seconds. You could then hear a clicking behind the instrument cluster. I put my headunit face on to check the battery voltage and it was 11.4V but it had reset to setup mode and the trip mileage was at 0 too. For the past few weeks the fuel pump has not been making its liquid noise below the rear seat so the car was taking an extra second to start. I have not tried to bump start the car as I did not have time before work. I have also read about ignition switch problems but hopefully if the car engine was initially turning then it cannot be this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking, battery, alternator or fuel pump finally causing a bigger issue.
  12. Cool, I will check the map first before the wiring. I checked fuses today. Am I correct to think its fuse 40? Checked all the ones with the engine symbol under the dash.
  13. Hmm I will remove the map next week and see if going back to standard makes it happen again. Of not must be coincidence that something has broken. Am I correct that it is the pump priming fuel?
  14. I noticed mine has stopped doing this after the remap. Anyone else noticed this?
  15. I did mine at the weekend. I found that the power band moved further up so before it had all the power between 1.5k to 3k and now it pulls harder to about 3.5k. Was hard to notice any difference around town but on the motorway in 5th between 60 and 80 there was big difference I think.
  16. Can anyone explain the difference they found once remapped? Like more power but how is the power delivered now?
  17. Hi guys, Got a basic Lupo for buzzing about town but noticed as the nights are drawing in that the interior light and headlight buzzer do not work. Checked the fuse box under the dash and the fuse is missing. On closer inspection there is only one silver contact in the top hole. So I pulled the fuse box forward which was very tight to see if the other contact was popped through but I can not find any strays. I think the top contact is the live so anyone got any ideas how I could fix this? Or am I going to need an auto electrician?
  18. Dblock where you based? I am in Edinburgh and have ordered my cable but I am slightly nervous about carrying out the upload!
  19. Has anyone got a copy of these? I can not see the pic through the link now. Just the file dropper website.
  20. Check the rear washer, check the key works in all locks, check windows both work, check blower works on all settings. All those are pretty simple to fix but good to check.
