  1. you have a point about the ignore function, which is useful. but that doesnt prevent or punish the abusers. the law is to stop hurtful information be it true or false about individuals or companies. once something is said and others have viewed it, even if the sbjuect of the post didnt read it, is still wrong.
  2. as you can see i have created a debate, but i havent gone down to personal comments.
  3. i dont want this site to close, i dont want abusive members posting on here.
  4. i'm serious about this subject, just to let you know. and some comments about me i wont accept. admin should be aware of what is said on this forum. as i said the ISP could shut this site down if complaints were looked into over some members.
  5. that what adults are meant to do is it? somone doesnt have to be an abusive nutter to spark debates.
  6. you need to think clearly about it adam. say if someone goes to their favourite pub regularly, but one day one another pub goer decides to kick up a fuss a bottle them in the face, and then each time they go back they get bottled again. this person shouldnt say oh well i get bottled in my favourite pub i'll just not go out or find another pub. they should go to the police and get the abusive person charged and removed so he can continue his freedom of where to enjoy his social life. the comparison is the same. and now the korean government has seen this and has rightly made a law to cover it.
  7. you dont need to direct at me, i am reporting the news to discuss. i could say if you cant be polite get off the forums..
  8. laws are there to protect those that are effected, sensitive or otherwise.
  9. winchester, nice. thats my favourite gaming weapon. as for the address details, it would be for the court to know once a case is prepared, not for public domain use.
  10. in korea a new law is coming out where anyone posting on an internet forum must 1st register with proven identification and social security number/ address details. this is to stop the messages that would in face to face situations be counted as abuse or scandalous. so legal action can be taken against the forum poster if they make wrongful/hurtful comments. there is talk of this kind of law being used generally worldwide. i support privacy in general on the internet, but in this specific forum area i think laws do need to be introduced. at the moment our law can allow us to command an ISP to close the website/forum that the abusive messaging occurs, but there is no real facility for pursuing court action against the individual that makes it.
  11. good pics. what plans have you got for the doors and bonnet? stripped internals, and fixed perspex? frp bonnet?
  12. i agree that vw need to make proper vvt/vct engines. the 1.6 gti engine is a good one with very high compression. but it would be ace with wild cam profiles kicking in at 6krpm upto 8krpm. thankfully the exclusivity/character of the car makes up for the shortfall in power. 200bhp civic type R counts as fast hot hatch, but its yawnworthy compared to the gti.
  13. of course there are many many cars that are faster, but the lupo gti is well known as a pocket rocket. its a quick car. its not a middle ground car either, even in terms of off the line acceleration it beats more cars than it looses against. in no way can it be called slow or not that quick. nippy cars do a 0-60 in about 10-12 seconds. slow cars 14- 15 seconds. different viewpoint.
  14. i'm still laughing when i think of that 1st vid, i love the one where the hole is the shape of a diving baseball player cathing a ball, lol. he almost gets it right.
  15. i have been on the lookout for them for the last few weeks, i want the rewards!. will have another gander this weekend.
  16. that is excellent, japanese stuff is all good. here their rube goldberg device contest, reminds me of mousetrap board game, but much better. where the honda advert idea came from..
  17. doesnt matter. i had 205 f 195 r then swapped to 195 f 205 r, not much difference. check your tyres more often.
  18. its all relative i guess. to me its a fast car. especially on point to point roads in the winding country roads.
  19. i wouldnt say the lupo gti are slow.
  20. the club polo price is not cheaper than schrick retail price. like i said before, give autops a chat autops.co.uk
  21. the sport has narrower 256mm discs to the gti though.
  22. i'm not sure. i should have said, thats my best guess. but i know that 256mm brakes normally go under 14" wheels, so unless calipers are a weird shape it whould be fine, but best to borrow some 14" from a friend of scrapyard to test it out.
  23. no, 300kw limit. so thats about 400bhp. but because of the adjustable downforce they should be getting the top speeds that we currently get.
