  1. hmm that might be relevant.. thanks for other responses. update is last night i managed to get drivers door open from inside, removed top door card, but not much space to get at the lock barrel. in the end i forced the key vertical and manged to get key out, but now i can lock and unlock door from pass side and open the driver door, but the barrel just goes round and does not lock or unlock the door. hopefully i can change the barrel.. i will see if i can do what lupoenvy suggested..above

Need some advice please, i have 1.4S lupo, locked the driver door but the barrel turned 90 deg as well, now key is stuck cannot turn it back to vertical position..! luckily i was at home so got spare key and can open the passenger side, but cannot get the key to go back to vertical position, now left the key sticking out of barrel.. the central lock sort of tries to unlock when i press the button from inside, but because the key is in horizontal position, it won't budge.. any ideas guys.. thanks
  3. Well i have experienced similar problems. Sometimes when coming to stand still or turning a corner, the only thing i reckon it is as its random, is that my revs when stationary is q low, 700rpm, therefore i am asuming that sometimes when i turn i change gear down and do not engage til revs dropped and sometimes drops so much past the idle it stalls, as someone mentioned earlier if it restarts straght away prob not battery, as mine does restart straight after stalling.. gonna try and get idle revs increased slightly and see if that helps...
  4. cheers for that. boy was it stiff, its now OK. was lucky enuff to get that check strap out as it would normally be q stiff to support the door.. used pliers .. screwdriver.. eventually found rod that did the trick.
  5. hi all, another strange one i need help on. Passenger door on me Loop noticed that door opens really wide stopped by only the top and bottom hinges, there is one in the middle which is attached using a screw, but i cannot attach it as the metal part that comes out from the door is short, i looked at driver side and def same metal part that attaches to the car body..? i treid pulling out the metal part from the door but will not budge.. removed the door card to see but i can feel the back of this metal part but cannot get it to move forward so i can attach it to rest of car body with a screw.? any help would be great.. hope this makes sense as well..
  6. OK thnx 4 that.. although not sure what to look for but i can get someone at garage to have a look. if its slack will it need replacing? hopefully might not be a too major issue.
  7. hi me lupo 1.4s recently developed this fault. Driving along and randomly the battery warning light comes on, once i was trying to turn, but as this happenened the power steering pump mustve stopped too, it was hard work turning the wheel, came to stand still, then had to restart the engine and fine..??! Happened 3 times now.. worried esp if happen when i'm on busy A road.. so far it usually when i press the clutch down when coming to standstill or turning going into lower gear..?? maybe battery on last legs..? hoping someone may shed some light on this.. cheers in advance
  8. Just got sport wheels for me 1.4S from fellow member. Cheers MattA. Fitted 'em, just wondered if i needed different bolts for them or would the ones for the original 13s do the job? hoping a few people here would've done that mod and can answer. cheers in advance.

  11. just realised on me 1.4S the lights for the air circulation underneath the storage of the middle console is blown. Is it difficult job to get to the compartment....??

  13. As u know, just bought a lupo 1.4S. The car has done 82k miles, and do not think it has cambelt changed, looked at service manual and does not say it needs it changed only inspected.. might be reading it wrong?! So looking for advice from u fellow members.. thanks.. Also would u know of a good indie spec around w london....? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  14. ok that makes me feel a bit betta about the brakes, also told been told by someone that the rear drum setup means that its not so responsive. i will wait til next service to mention it for now
