Neither are, I have a standard 1.4s, love it. The fox with a better engine, thats all VW need to do, it feels just like a Polo does to drive.

Drilling a couple of new holes in the bulk head and lower the Resovoir would be the easiest option wouldn't it?

Suppliers of any type of car part t the moment is limited, people no longer hold large stock levels.. even the factory. But customer service does not cost anything.

Perhaps it was a pedal box problem, rather than a worn clutch, and when you adjusted it the clutch may have been slipping? They are cheap to buy, get a welder to strengthen the clutch pedal a little and it'll help avoid gearbox problems. Good luck with it
