Evening all sorry for late message! I am possibly looking at a little open air 1.4 16v lupo tomorrow, it seemed the ideal car. However..... A mate of mine is a vw guru and he says the 1.4 can have a serious problem with electrics, like intermittent cutting out and Non starting from the engine. He said it's a random fault the even vw have trouble with. Unsolvable....... Has anyone else heard of this? Cause I'm worried about going to buy it. Or! Is anyone southern selling? Ideally a petrol out a one litre, but I'm on a tight schedule and a tighter budget! Thank you world of lupo.

Also, seeing as you are apparently all knowing and all powerful ( been stalking the forums tonight and your name comes up waaay too much) What's the general consensus on the Open Air models... found a cheeky 1.4 16v with cracking mileage but the open air roof. are they good? :?: do they leak? are they special? will it make me look fancy? does it add 50 bhp?

Being a newbie i thought i'd ask a newbie question. Colour coded rear valance... easy to do? buy?
