  1. Picked up some new door check straps this week from VW. Hoping to get them fitted at the weekend and finally get rid of the clunking sound every time the door is open and closed. Also picked up a very nice new genuine dealer tax disc holder when i picked up the parts. Will post pictures of progress of while fitting the new check straps at the weekend
  2. Thanks Maverick, thinking of new alloys or refurbishing the old ones when funds allow. Micp, i'm planning to get some new number plates i think some 3d legal gel plate are called for. Thanks Ollie
  3. Brought some cleaning supplies from halfrauds so that it could get it cleaned up quickly and looking better than the state which it was first in. Cleaned the interior using a Bissel wet vac purchased off Ebay really pleased with how the seats came up look like new. Also notice the new mats brought these from carmats4u.com. I have now got the correct fixings for them so there is no gold ring showing anymore, will upload pics of this later. First attempt at striping the mats flash doesn't really show it that well, got better results when using a straight edge and the dyson to do it properly. Another interior to show the cleanliness of the seats compared to what they were, disgusting before they were wet vacc'ed. All clean and shiny and the terrible bump strips finally removed after a lot of elbow grease and T Cut !!! Clay barred using Turtle wax clay bar kit and lubricant which was cheap from halfords. Also polished using Meguiars deep crystal polish applied with a Meguiars foam applicator pad, this worked really well. Then waxed several time using Poor Boys Blue Natty Paste Wax from polished bliss, this was applied 4 - 5 times and buffed off using a plush microfiber towel also from the Poor Boys range. You can see the results from the photos. Nice shot gleaming in the sun Obligatory reflection shot after polish and wax!! Also started some carbon wrapping on the door handles and also the air vents.
  4. Thanks koop, Been looking on the classified for ages and also ebay just wondered if any other members had any sets or ideas where i could get some thanks ollie
  5. Hi has anyone got and OEM factory fit wheels e.g bathurst or any other alloy 15' or 16' preferred which are genuine VW alloys. I would be looking for a set with tyres on and would pay £100 - £200 Thanks Ollie
  6. Yeah I ended up using so t cut in the end so got nearly all of it off, need to upload some moree photos. Yeah definetley wanna lower it mate
  7. Hi my name is Ollie Raymond, brought a VW Lupo 1.0 E in Soft Blue. Picked it up in Luton from a private seller on 20th august only just manged to get round to creating this thread hope to keep adding some updates. Only 40k on the clock when we picked it up, and the guy wanted £1400 then we manages to get it for £1K. A steal. As you can see one of the bump strips was already off I decided to take the rest of them off, what a nightmare that turned out to be!!! Bump strips on the passenger side were easy to get off with strimmer wire then some elbow grease to get the glue and residue off. The drivers side was the problem the idiot who last owned it had decided to glue the strips back on with black sealant and a glue gun, took forever to get off had to resort to the scrapers and a hair dryer but still some of it remains on. Got the original sofltine alloys on at the moment but I plan to get some bathursts when a set come available, also plan to lower it but down know how much this will cost on the insurance when I start driving. Plans Wet Vac interior (especially front seats) Bathurst alloy wheels Gti metal pedal caps Cambelt Set of mats New door handle pulls Interior door handles Door check straps
  8. Nuneaton town area warwickshire Spotted a blue lupo sport on bbs rims blue centre and polished silver outer, looks tidy, very nice.
