Thanks mattarosa, Open Air it is! Well, given the amount of rain at the Pod, I'd have to say that was a pretty good test and it passed!

    That’s good,

because im sad I’ve compiled a list of open airs, I’ve added yours now

Thanks mk2; can't take the credit, this is how the car came to me!

Never really considered a Lupo before, but once settled on a water-cooled VW as my next toy I got set on having one - cool looks, fun handling, reasonable poke (on the 1.4 anyway) all for very little pence indeed!

This one has the full length canvas sunroof thing too (I'm sure it has an official VAG name/model), which the wife likes - just need it to stop raining for a bit now! Took it up to Santa Pod at the weekend for the Camper & Bus show, didn't stop raining long enough  to open it. (Bit of sun on the Sunday but was watching the racing then!).

    Open air!

    I love my open air...

    Does it leak yet?

Where did you find that?! You lucky thing and you probably only paid ÂŁ100 for it...

My friend had it, and for years I was saying “sell me the golf” the reply was “I’m not selling the golf”

after about three years of this he asked if I was still interested...

£3000. We were sat going through all the paper work with a brew and it turned out he’d owned it since 1999. I’m the third owner. At this point I was only bothered with one with, whether it was a ‘he or she’. He said neither it’s just a car but before I drove off he tapped it on the roof and said “goodbye old girl”

and that’s the sad story of how I came to own the g60. It’s had all of the rear tub and new rear turrets welded too.

That'll be the supercharger? Centre bearing maybe. Or a loose hose which is throbbing as the air pulses out of the exit port. Not sure you can get the seals anymore. It was tricky finding them a few years ago when i rebuilt one.

It’s the charger, it’s an addictive noise. It came with a twin light debadged grill, it now has a proper quad light back on.

    A full stainless exhaust

The typical sunroof leak which was the seal.

Factory BBS in need of a refurb.

And it’s done 100 miles in the last ten years

Is this the one you’re giving me as a present for being the best?

Hehe no but you did promise I could drive it at fest.

    Dont disappoint me

The very same, I don’t think it’ll be ready for this feat due to other plans but ssssh

LHD, with that ever so annoying self regulating wax stat choke assembly... but working I'd imagine if it's yours?

I'm still hunting the elusive chrome edition countryman. There's one in Austria, but they want too much. And before registering it here, I'll do a professional RHD conversion. And fit AC. All OEM extras.

Mines a factory g60 so it may not have the wax stat choke

Wo wo wo let’s back up here guys.danno are you with mscherryviolet???

You could say they’re together, I’m not 100% at the moment though. She could be at work or Danno could be in the clutches of a little old lady after fitting her a stair rail. Who know what he gets upto

Today I made a bacon sandwich with four bits, chilli sauce double cheese, two hash browns and an egg.

    Brown bun clearly.

How unlike you to eat anything that’s not a Waitrose banana...

Wait was this sandwich for breakfast?
