  1. Hi guys, I could do with some help with the same. I'm positive I need to replace the brushes in the blower motor (last year it was making noises, went intermittent, only worked when you whacked the bottom of the heater unit). Now i've got the "shelf" dash rather than a glovebox. I've undone 6 star key screws, but can't get the dash off as it looks like the 2 parts are moulded together, anyone know how to get this off easily so I can see what's where? Also, any advice as to where i'm looking for the motor on the heater unit? Thanks in advance J
  2. Found a 'barrel replacement kit' with instructions on ebay for £20.98 with delivery. Doesn't seem the easiest thing to get to so I may drop it in the service centre and ask them to fit it.
  3. I've had that happen to mine a couple of days ago. Key got stuck, had to really force it to return to centre to remove it, now you can turn it with force to the left to lock the door (doesn't work the central locking tho), turning to the right just makes it spin around. Its embarassing to get in through the passenger door! I just took the door panel to bits to see if anything was visibly out of place and it appears not, so must be said barrel. Whats the cheapest option here - another lock (although different key) from a breakers? or is it quite cheap from a dealer? The Lupo's my second car which I use for work, so don't wanna spend too much.
  4. Aha, yes, thanks for your help. I've got the usual headunit removal tools, but not that type. Couple of strips of an old Sainsbury's reward card did the job nicely thanks. All seems fine, only things to sort now are look into ordering a new dab glassmount aerial like I had before, or some kind of splitter enabling me to share the FM one. And I've to fix a 'rattly' passenger speaker - seems to go ok if I pull at the plastic cover, so its probably just out of place rather than needing a replacement driver.
  5. Hi guys, I've recently bought a Lupo 1.7 SDI for all my work mileage, and am very impressed with it so far. Found out that the 'BETA' tape player doesn't work (can't stand tape anyway) and want to fit a Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB 52 I have spare. Its illumination is red, blue and white as well, so it will look good in the lupo. I'm experienced at fitting head units, but without snapping half of the interior apart, how do you remove the current stereo? Its a '98 model. Thanks in advance
