Just thought I'd bump this as opposed to starting a new topic. I've just had the battery light come on and stay on, done the check on the battery as stated. Never moved from 12.4 volts from not running to running at 2.5K. I'm guessing alternator then and am getting a price to get it done, I have had a look at earth connections and other ones but nothing obvious. Anyone any idea how much I'm looking at to get a new one or recon one fitted? Really don't want to do it myself not dropping the engine.

I should not of just read this thread when I've got a 600 mile road trip to Scotland and back at the weekend. My gearbox is a bit tempremental for selecting 1st and 3rd. 3rd is only on the way down and first is whenever it feels like it.

As title. Spotted yesterday at what I would call the Mill House roundabout about midday. (The one at the bows incline turn off the A1) And today at the bottom of Oxclose heading away from the galleries about 4.30. EDIT - Looking good by the way.

I learned to control a car when I was about 11 or 12 in a reliant robin. My dad then gave me my first lesson at 17 in my brothers 1.4 nova. He was a taxi driver then which probably explains a lot about my driving style and impatience on the road.
