  1. you will have to remove the cylinder head
  2. yeah has been good fun to read
  3. yeah throttle valve not too bad of a job. Yeah mb say to flush the injectors but all it does is fill the bore up with cleanner and then cant turn the engine over nightmare. I like doing the sump gaskets gearbox out quite a fun job. Cant say I done smashing streeing locks yet.
  4. yeah the throttle valve issure and forever doing injectors. remember when the engine 1st come out it had oil pressure problems and ended up putting the con rod out the side of the block don`t know if that was a issue for the cars as well ? ha ha yeah the 642 engine
  5. Nothing like working on Mercedes 651 engine in a vito and such poor engineering
  6. Yeah I wouldn't announce on the forums about having star as its illegal to have it without a licence
  7. I work on the HGV and van side of mb tho
  8. yeah live at home but work for Mercedes benz as a trainee tech.
  9. wi price of milk it's better than been a little put$$y < chav talk ! . your right my mums don't count but yet i still got my own toys and the finance i don't have that beacause i am paid enough in my job to buy what i want . I don't need to know you i just got to look at your posts to tell your a bellend
  10. lol im far from a little boy and plenty of money and I have my toys. You sound like a chav with a big mouth and no idea about cars
  11. Little boys and there big dreams.
  12. Nope they only have one sensor and you say its had a engine rebuild 2k ago after a snapped timing belt. Mite be worth finding someone with a oil pressure test kit or dropping the pan off to see for bearing damage.
  13. When you drained the coolant did you have the heater on hot ?
  14. Sounds like headgasket has gone if your burning water
  15. Hi so you have changed the pump and switch could be dropping pressure from worn bottom end bearings
  16. Its the 1.4 100bhp If you want more power get a gti or get a bigger engine not point playing aroumd with a 1.4
  17. not done a afh engine but took my afk out of my lupo year ago. wiring is simple enough you got the plugs to disconnect by the gearbox which is your loom then remove the stuff like drive shafts and gear linkage. yeah you have it in and out within a day. yeah should be no problem getting it to work as longs as the engine was runner when you got it
  18. Got the two big ones what bolt the gear box to the sump but dont have to remove the box its just the little bolts all the way round then the two big ones that go into the gearbox or look for another lump to put in

  20. You have to drop the sump off 1st then take the bearing caps off to check the shells for wear and also the oil pick up as well its far from a 5min job but after changing no guarantee it will work as damage is done and from tapping at top end sounds like pump is not picking up oil enough. It will be oil pressure problems you have tapping from top end and then when hot oil pressure light on they crap engines seen these blow up at 70k mark
  21. yep the damage is already done with you driving it just sell up and get something else
  22. tbh i would look more into your oil pressure problem it will either be main bearings worn or pump worn and when the oil thins out when hot drops pressure and left will just end destroying the engine. i cant see the sensor being the problem
  23. Oil light be on when warm either bottom end bearings are gone or oil pump is gone.
