  1. As title suggests, where can i get one from for the sport? There is a knocking noise upon going over bumps and the garage said the top mount had gone on the n/s. Cheers for the info. *Edit* Oh and how much are they?
  2. I have enough rattles as it is!! I have the remote control for the head unit in there, thats about it.
  3. Funny you should say that, as one time i was driving down to cardiff in my old mk1 golf. absolutely brimmed it, like i always did... about 10 minutes later, my o/s rear wheel deceided to vacate the car, completely, by way of dislocating itself from the axle, via the central reservation and into a corsa! Never to be seen again! Anyway, in all the commotion from the wheel bouncing up into the arch this hit the fueltank and fizzed up the petrol inside. I stopped and noticed petrol leaking from the filler cap, undid it and a little fountain of petrol streamed out. Nice.
  4. What are everyones views on high mileage? I know the Lupo is probably a bad example with them only being around for such a short amount of time, though a know people that are scared of anything above, well, 70-80k I have only owned one car that has been less than 100k ! and that was the oldest on i had (my 75 mk1 golf auto 19.5k) I guess another reason is that most of them have been VW's, (nova-110, mk1-110, polo-115, polo-100, mk1-19.5, lupo-103 (now on 107) I hope to get another 100k out of it. as it's a crackin car. GF drove it this weekend and she was well impressed with how it handled and went. though not as quick as hers ( trying to pull out and overtake in fifth at like 50mph, lol style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> ) Anyway, sorry for the blurb, was just curious thats all.
  5. Cool, i shall have to brim it i think next time. Perseverance is the key. Though i like the fact that i pay so little for fuel compared to everyone i know. GF is paying £42ish for her 182 Clio and £50ish for the mk5 Golf she had before that.
  6. Thats good to hear, as mine hasn't been done and it's on pretty much 107k
  7. They don't have the biggest of tanks, though i know i can get a minimum of around 250-60 to a tank, and thats pretty much through the red too. Filled it this morning, took £30 and was on 280odd Now that i am back at home, the town-ish driving will bring that number down, though the run over the weekend got consumption to 45-46mpg I guess the GTi has a bigger tank then than the sport i take it.

  9. Mine too. Just this morning, empty tank, A4 cabrio damn near takes my bumper off pulling in front of me. Foot to floor, chased him to 122mph @ 6500rpm I don't do it that often though proud to say that this is the fastest car i have owned.
  10. 106,800 Clocking them miles up. *edited to say that this is a V plate (2000)
  11. I was well chuffed with my sport over the weekend. Northwich to eastbourne - 260 miles, eastbourne to haywards heath - 30odd finally filled up after covering 296 miles and pretty much through the red. AWESOME!! Not bad considering it was 80-90 all the way down and then stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on the m25 Then it only cost £30 to fill up style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" /> Back up to home now, 240 miles later.
  12. ...bout 17:10 this afternoon. Flashed and waved and got a wave back, young lady driving with a fella in the passenger seat. I was the green one going the other way. Cheers Pete
  13. Loving the pictures mate, i'll have to dig out some of the night/long exposure/driving ones i took when i was driving thouth Las Vegas last year. Some came out alright. More inpiration is always good though. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="thumbsup.gif" />
  14. The car looks good, apart from the front lights! It need squarer, meaner ones, not poncey 350z ones. Apart from that i think it looks alright.

    RR Day!

or even the ones that are further to the west north, north west perhaps... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> Not a bad run down there though. Might have to see what's in my diary for then and not tell the missus the price...!
  16. Ah, sorry my bad. A wrong assumption, never mind. One day i shall have the pleasure of meeting you all i thinks.
  17. I know for definate mine was changed at 92k, when Ryan owned the SPort, though not had a proper look in the history to see if there is a receipt or a stamp stating that it was done before this. Don't have to worry till around 130k, only 25k to go then!
  18. Hehe, lol. Yeah i should have come over, i nearly stopped after i'd been on the strip. I recognised yours Jen and you're blokeys as your were both on the strip when i arrived. Few more i recognised too. Car needs a bit of a clean and a polish, might do that on saturday, possibly going to the CGTi BBQ show and shine on sunday so might show her off. I have big plans in the pipeline to get better times next time (depends when i get round to it....!
  19. Cheers, It is a tight fit at the moment, about 2" gap, though the amp is screwed to the back of the box, temporary measure till i build a false floor and enclose everything in there. Plus it takes up (just) less than half of the width of the boot, plenty of room though for a case of beer. Again, who buys a Loop for the boot space anyway. Still managed to go camping the other week with the sub and amp in there, just took the seats out, lol!
  20. Hiya folks, Thought i'd post a quickie as don't get chance to come on here often, you might recognise the car, it's Ryans old one from on the forum. Cheers Pete EDIT - Time to fix my hosting account and get a decent one that doesn't go pear shaped and die on me. Whats in the boot!
  21. Thought i'd say as i don't come on here much, as work kindly block access to the site. Buggers! Anyway, i saw a lot of tasty loops on sunday when i was at GTi Fest, namely when i was coming back from going up the strip, many of you might have recopgnised it as Ryans old Loop Sport Was my first time up the strip though i thought it didn't go so badly, 17.3 was the quickest i got, with only an air filter as the engine mod and a strong head wind. Next two weren't the best, 17.7 was the worst. I know what i have to aim for next time..... Cheers. Pete
  22. Looked like it could have been a TDi sport, black/red interior, clear repeators, spoiler, aftermarket wheels Very tidy
  23. I like where you arre going with this style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
  24. That is indeed a gorgeous looking car Jen! Jealous now that you got her so soon, Rufus is gonna be snapped up pretty quickly now i reckon. Pete
