Tada's GReeeeN Lupo GTI - Last update 1.11.2014
vworks41 replied to tttttada's topic in Member's Cars
I expect you are....but are you using braided hoses? this will increase pedal feel. -
Yep I'll be there, always agood day out....so chilled
-
Depends how wide you go, but the general rule is a wider track increases stability and improves grip, but theres abit more to it than just that. Dout you would notice this on normal roads though, but track maybe alittle.... Lupo GTi's have a wider track than other loops, just like most faster cars.

Can you not contact the previous owner and find out.

It wasn't cheep mate, but only because i had all four arches done. Rolled at the front, trimmed and seamed welded & sealed at the back. Plus i had both sides re-spayed after afew battle scars. Might be worth just giving them a bell just to get a quote. Ask for Mike Curtis.

vworks41 replied to 12yan's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
I've allways hand tighten them, then nip them up with an exstion bar. -
Obviously depends on what rims ur running aswell, but reckon 60-70mm is a safe bet. Maybe start off at about 50mm and see what you think

They look great, nice work

Got mine done buy Initial Impact in south newton.

Depends what offset the wheels are.
-
Gotta love them rims
-
Reckon it will be worth the hassle running them as they look very smart, especaily if you get it baged.
-
Top choice of rims, looks great

Tryed but failed The only way to get'em to fit with an et15 is to trim and pull the arches...plus neg camber.
-
Gti's are more prone to knocking because the drive shafts are bigger.

Cheers Still need to rebuild and powder coat mine, but might still give them ago in the near future. Can i ask what disc and pad combo you went for?
-
No the girling two pots are still sat in the garage doing nout. The brakes needed doing badly so went for the quick and easy option from a cupra. Still really impressed though. How did you get on with girlings then...did you need to change the master cylinder in the end and whats the pedal travel like? Cheers man. The calipers and carriers are from a ibiza cupra which where £70.00 off ebay. Discs and pads genuine seat items, they're second hand but only covered 2000miles which cost £90.00. These will do for this year, then next summer i want to get the calipers re-powder coated and fit some nice braided hoses.

Now running G60 calipers and discs, wish i'd done alot this sooner, stops loads better now!
