  1. i didnt get that option lol i got what the customer gave me
  2. This wasnt just plug an play lol 4cly to a 6cyl the wireing on a vr6 came with everythink lighting/radio/window etc the ibiza had a separate lighting loom so i used as much as the standard loom as i could ie inputs (coolent temp/lamber/map,tps etc) then swaped ecu pin outs about witch kept the install neat etc best bet to start in one area (i started on the starter circuit) an work you way though your soon get stuck in
  3. There are sevrel ways a headgasket can fail. ie coolent in the oil ,pressureizing the coolent, coolent useage etc IMO if compression was getting in the oil ways the build up of pressure in the crankcase would force oil past the oil control ring and burn in the comperssion chamber causeing blue smoke. wash engine off with some degreaser run up have a good look round with a torch. you suspected H.G issue, pop in to a garage an have them carry out a sniffer test. hope this helps
  4. download autodata or vag com they should have all the wiring diagrams you need. If its any help i put a vr6 lump in a ibiza. i kept the the interior loom seprate as much as i could, You should only need the chip out of the gti key for key code. should be pretty straight forward once you have diagrams. other option auto electrician good luck mate
