You have 2 other mirrors you know. Vans do without a rear view mirror. Plus the only time you can't see traffic through the rear window is in torrential downpour in daylight, any other time you can still see out of it well enough, even when it's filthy. If you're thinking of doing this just do what I did: spend a week not using your rear wiper & see if you miss it. It will encourage you to keep your car clean

I'm annoyed at myself as I said I was going to sort out the important stuff before changing anything. I thought I'd be ok but I'm gonna be in the red by the time I've got the cam belt done so it just doesn't seem sensible. We'll see though, if I can't make my money back on em I'll keep em & get them repainted. In red obviously

That does look really high at the back for some reason, GTI suspension is about 20 mm lower so the springs might have been replaced with non-GTI items on the rear.

Maybe not for long, I might sell them and pay off my overdraft instead. Booooooring. Being a grown up is rubbish.

I've never had any understeer in Lupos tbh except once when I was really trying. They're pointy little buggers.

Lupo GTI - Bathurst (on a non-GTI) Polo GTI BBS - RS772 aka RX2 Mk3 GTIs were 5x100 weren't they? So I'm not sure which wheels you're referring to here.

15" Borbet As are actually fake: http://borbet.co.uk/?p=260 However... 15x7 with 195/45s will go straight on no problem (well you might need spigot rings, standard) 16x9...good luck 9s are about as wide as you can get away with on the rear of a Lupo, and you'll really struggle with the front. Have a look for 16x7.5s, with a 35 or 30 profile tyre you should be reet. I ran 16x7s with 195/45s on the sport dropped about 40mm and it only scrubbed a bit on the back.
