  1. Sounds identical to when I had Catalytic Converter problems. It turns out the 1st had disintegrated in to the 2nd and pretty much blocked the exhaust.
  2. Thanks for the replies. So how big is the relief tank then? My fuel light has just come on at 370 miles. I would usually get 220. Where have those miles come from? I can't seem to make any sense of it!
  3. That's the kind of answer I was looking for, thanks So why does it exist? Is there any actual technical documents about it anywhere because I can't find any.
  4. I have had my Lupo for a year and a half now. I have had some weird issues with fuel. Here is the scenario... I am in Telford preparing for a drive to Hertfordshire. I brim my tank from about 40% full according to the gauge. I put in a lot more fuel than I expected to be able to. The total amount was 22.6l. This is far more than I expected to be able to put in my tank. I drove for 100 miles before the fuel needle moved even slightly off the full marker. At this present moment in time I have driven 300 miles on this same tank and the needle still shows half a tank left. I would usually get about 230 miles out of a tank of fuel, how have I got 300? I needed to keep track of all mileage to get fuel repayments. When I got to Hemel (130 miles) I was only able to put in 2l. Making that journey 260mpg. How on earth have I managed to get this many miles out of half a tank? I have had this happen a few times. Always when I fill my tank from the 25-40% full marker. I hope you understand what I mean and can shed some light on the situation. Cheers Dale Collins
  5. Its part number is 6no 971 883B It could be 6n0 at the start. It's quite hard to see.
  6. I found this under my passenger seat but I have no idea what it is. It has a VW logo on it so it has come from the car but I can't see anything missing from the seat. Does anyone have any clue as to what this is? Thanks
  7. Spotted you in Amersham in the afternoon then in Hayes at the meet in the evening. Twice in one day! I recognised the stickers and the P Slots. Car needs a bit of a wash though! See you around!
  8. I am with Admiral who are a sister company to Elephant. I am on my second year of insurance and I've moved from 3rd party to fully comp. I also did the 10 month policy thing for the first year but my insurance this year is 12 months for £900. This made me so happy The moral of the story is check out Elephant and Admiral!

    Bike Rack

I'm after a bike rack, I know most 'hatchback' style racks will fit so does anyone have one they're getting rid of? Cheers
  10. I'll keep a eye on this one as it's the same colour as mine. Always good to have a nosey at what others are doing
  11. Ewww, chrome mirrors! I'll stick to white thanks
  12. I think at the moment springs are a better option. I'll just go for some 40mm as there are so many speed bumps around where I live I wont be able to go anywhere. I think I'll do the mirrors. I've seen another Loop on here with white mirrors (I think it's laser blue) and I really liked them. I don't want to copy too much but I'm just picking ideas from others at the moment
  13. Hi guys, I've owned this car for a year now so I'm finally getting over the shock of teenager insurance prices and finally have some money in the bank. So here is the car when I bought it; Totally stock, like completely. Had a little bump in the past so the front right hub cap has a crack in it and the wishbone has been replaced. It came with no head-unit so that was the first job. I got a Sony one with bluetooth so my songs can stream from my iPod with no wires. It seems to impress everyone that gets in the car So this is pretty much where I am today, new head unit and not a lot else as I haven't had the funds. I have a sticker on the front and in the back and that's about it. I've just bought some gloss white P Slots so I'll whack a picture of those up when they're fitted. I gave the car a good polish the other day and it looks lush. I love to see the beads of rain on the car! So until the P Slots are on the car this is as far as this thread will go Jobs for the future; Paint mirrors gloss white Paint badges gloss white Paint interior gloss white? (what are your opinions on this? On the T bar/blower things) Coilies/lowering springs (advice on lowering springs please) Maybe a white petrol flap Thanks for looking. Please comment and give me some ideas EDIT 01/03/12 I got my alloys and gave them a good clean and the car a quick wash, here is the result; Looks much better in my opinion. So it turns out I can't lower it because I'm still under my parents thumbs. Next up is painting the badges and wing mirrors white

    Steel Wheel et38

Hi guys. I'm after a steel that have an offset of et38. I'm buying some alloys so I need a spare that has the same offset Thanks
  16. Hi mate. I am very interested in the P Slots. I don't fully understand the tyre sizes though. This is all still fairly new to me. Is the 185 the width of the whole tyre or the whole wheel? Obviously I need wheels that have the same rolling radius as my current ones. If you could point me in the right direction that would be awesome Thanks Dale

    Front vw badge

Ok, basically I painted mine and it looks gash so I'm going to give it another go. Does anyone have a vw front badge?
  18. Those hubs are hideous! I also don't like the tiny rev counter, apart from that, not a bad looking car
  19. I know it might look a bit Boy-Racer-ish. To be honest that's why I wanted to see it on here first. They look good on a Mini and they look good on the Fords so I thought they might look good on the Loop.
  20. Hi guys. This is Garrigle's Lupo and it's very similar to mine. Could someone photoshop some stripes on to it please. I'm thinking some stripes like this; But without the logo obviously. It is the second picture I am most interested in seeing with the white stripes. Cheers
  21. I have emailed them too. Until then I was recommended the Polo V reg to '01 edition. Served me well so far!
  22. Ignore Scotty, he loves a bit of trolling. Head over to the Wanted section and you will get a better response
  23. I have a Sony headu-unit with bluetooth connectivity. I think it's brilliant because it streams wirelessly from iPod Touches and iPhones. I get in the car, the phone connects automatically and I just need to click play. It's an excellent system and so worth doing!
