  1. They can, and do, go stupidly low. Just look around the forum, there's folk on here with helpers out, chassis notches, the lot.
  2. Cat has to be present for MOT.
  3. Was looking on the how many left website and there are only 330ish Lupo SE 75hps around. One of which I own. I've got seats to change and wheels to change, but if I do that is two of the main SE 'extras' gone. All I'd have left is the perforated leather steering wheel and gear gaiter. I know its not exactly a collectors car, but there is it worth keeping the bits so I can change it back later? After all there are 3x as many GTIs about (but they are 30x more desirable ) Just an early morning brain fart.
  4. Take it out and use W40 to strip the old dried up grease out then fill with lithium grease spray. Thats what I did. Worked a wee bit, but eventually I needed to get the ebay repair kit. Easy fix though.
  5. Yeah the grey stuff is to stop water pouring into the car when it rains It could be that the water in the footwell is from that. If it gets any sun it'll cause condensation. The aerial is easy to tighten if you can drop the roof lining. I changed mine just using a socket with the aerial lead through the hole in the middle of the socket.

    HELP

The insurers won't but if you are in an accident and their loss adjusters do then good luck. Declare all mods!
  7. I've got cloth GTI fronts in the garage waiting to fit. They are MUCH more comfortable than the standard seats in my SE.
  8. When you did your door straps did you cut/damage the door lining?
  9. Plastic primer would be a good bet. Bit more flexible to allow for expansion on hot day. Normal primer can crack. The Halfrauds one is red I think. Grey is fine on plastic models and such that don't sit in the sun.
  10. Wheels will fit, but tyres might be a bit on the big side at 195/50 R15. Few threads of people having rubbing issues with that size. 195/45 R15 would be better.
  11. In the how to Mr Moley just used a wheel bolt reversed to do it: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=78608
  12. I had similar problems with an MFD I bought from ebay. Seller accused me of breaking it, then went back to Russia. Hope you have better luck. I'm not sure how structurally sound those wheels would be? There doesn't look like much metal round the bolt holes and if you get it smoothed off on a lathe then there'll be even less
  13. My SE has standard radius seat bolts, same as steels. I don't have any lockers. Car's 9 year old and never had a wheel pinched ;-)
  14. Not with 2.2lbs in a kilo it isn't... It does look like the figures are in pounds though. First could be dry weight second kerb weight.
  15. Salt on the roads is the cause for concern for some. Not just rain.
  16. Love that shade of green, and Starlights. Lovely wee motor. I'd be proud to drive it
  17. If its the one touch closing, isn't there a way to recalibrate it?
  18. Have you got it on back to front? I can't see any sign of the notchy bits. Just looks like a smooth bar. Mine has the notches facing you. And slather it in lithium grease.
  19. The BBY engine seems to have a different cover from others. The badge sits just to the right of the oil cap and horizontal. rather than further back and vertical.
  20. I could do with the 1.4 16v badge. Mine is missing. What style of engine cover is it off? Mine is a BBY engine.

    Hey All

A nice base. I'm not keen on the DTM mirrors personally.
  22. Look on ebay, someone selling a wee red Arosa sport for £1100 in Stirling. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-SEAT-AROSA-SPORT-1-416V-RED-100bhp-/110795082638 Arosas are a bit better value than Lupos...
