Getting places to process is a pain though treblet, all the "proper" places local to me are shut down and it is supermarkets or Boots. They don't like to cross process, though I've heard of people putting "fake" DX labels on so they can get it done.

You wear it well!

I've got 'leccy mirrors, but not heated. Would I need some extra relays or does it run off rear window switch?

And you scored some solid headrests to boot -
Is it whining? Sounds pretty much like when my Lupo's clutch release bearing went.

Too much Marvel Bit of Frank Miller or Alan Moore would be more my cuppa.

puggled replied to sullivan.jl's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
My lower hinge has gone, not enirely, but the door bounces up and down as it closes, there uis a clear worn patch on the latch. Have you tried lifting it slightly as you close it? Is your latch showing wonr patch? -

If your rear seats are tatty I can give you some really nice ones. -
Haha harsh, I'm 35 this year.

You got your camber sorted?

Are you using static IPs or DHCP? Are they all using the same subnet mask? Microsoft products usually "connect" to an IP starting with 169.254.x.x when having issues.

Ray, having met you for all of 2 seconds, I'd assume you were of a suitable vintage to remember when people made their own for their rwd Fords, Imps, Chevettes etc, and they were impossible to balance and fell to bits? Cos I do, and I think you maybe a had a year on me What happened to reverse mounting steels too? Or did that never make it into the VW scene?

De Tango Front Flashers & side repeaters
puggled replied to rapidebrothers's topic in Volkswagen Lupo
Yup, offset pins, I used the cheapy no name ones I had in my van in the car when I got it. If you want to splash out you can get the diadem ones. -
So if I was to get DRLs (not sure, just an idea messing round with) according to the regs they need to go off at night when you have your headlights on. Is there a way to wire this via a relay equivalent of a push to break switch (or if I remember my high school physics classes a NAND gate)? I figured there must be some relays that switch off on a +12v, so take a feed from dipped beam for that, but then I forgot about high beam...

I saw somewhere (here?) a black Lupo with matt black vinyl checkers. It was one of those mods that you don't really notice at first glance. Subtle.

The preceding advert getting you a discount?

Anything not 100% will be noticeable/exaggerated at high speed. I could feel it when my tyres differed by 0.25 bar a side.

Mine are looking a bit grubby too, there are genuine, used, ones on ebay also described the same. There are Hong Kong pattern parts for really cheap. Not sure how feasible it'd be to strip and clean them?

The Lupo should be easy to drive in snow with all that weight over the front axle? I know that made my fwd Transit a scoosh in the snow, but I've not had any snow since I bought the Lupo yet

Where do I chuck the Anti-Freeze?
puggled replied to Lewis_'s topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
I hope you bought red antifreeze? -
In the early 90s I used to regularly see a Merc 540, or whatever it was, with J77ERC. My favourite recent one was photographed by my mate on a Bentley in central London- HA5 1 LEG...

To be fair I like the look of them. But you'll lose scene points for sure!

Sounds pricey Jace? I've got non oe discs and pads just now. I'm going to get my local VW specialist to look at it I think.
