Hi there, My gf has been driving around with no power steering for 4 months after her hose split and I;m assuming the pump will be goosed now. I have a few questions, Someone is breaking a 1l lupo, will the pump fit the 1.4s? If not, where is the best place to get the pump and hose(cheap) Many thanks

Hi Folks. my gf has a 2004 pupo 1.4s(non sport) and one of her power steering pipes is correded and needs replaced, unsure if its high pressure or low pressure at the moment. In addition she needs new brake disks and pads all -around by the looks of it. Can anyone advise on a cheapish site to get these items? She is a student and money is quite tight. Many thanks,

Hi guys, My gfs lupo is having problems. It started popping out of gear-specifically the 5th gear. However on the way to dundee recently it started making a jurning/grinding/whining noise whilst in traffic= quite loud and noticable. It also produced a gas like smell?? The noise stops when you put the clutch in , but it also makes the noise in neutral? Basically the car sounds like a bag of bolts, we managed to get her back home tonight. It drives ok when on the motorway but is difficult to change gear and sometimes will not go into gear. So are we thinking new gearbox? She replaced her clutch and cable last year. If this is the case where is the best place to get a new one? Any help appreciated Thanks

Hi guys, My girlfriends car keeps jumping out of gear, is this a common problem? She had a new clutch put in last year, and her clutch cable did snap aswell. Any help appreciated cam

As titled, Ive been told 5w-30? Fully synthetic? The recommendations based on car bring up some pretty expensive oils for the full 5 litres on opie oils, around 40-60 quid! Its for my gfs car so I want a half decent oil but not paying a fortune, I spend less on oil for my DC5. Any recommendations on oil guys? Its just a standard 1.4 s no gti or anything fancy Cheers

For the timing belt is it also essential to replace all tensioners or will the belt suffice? -

cameroon95 replied to cameroon95's topic in Volkswagen Lupo
So thats literally all there is to changing the belt, just the belt itself? I remember changing the tensioner etc on my old glanza, perhaps that was OTT?? -
