  1. Lol yea thats right u had the golf at the time didnt u, na it blew up doin 70 odd in 5th thats wat pissed me off that i wernt even givin it ****, but sayin that, 5th gear puts the most lpad on an engine i suppose, yea il get in touch wen im close itd be good to have a butchers at yours aswel
  2. Yea it was number 1 rod that snapped n yea bearing had collapsed, i had the car off ginger jamie, it blew the day before i was selling it!!! Stripped it down for parts in the end, was a wicked car had such a laugh driving it, the revs jist never let off even between changes! Im about to do a 1.8t seap in my lupo aswel so could do with pickin your brains soon if you wudnt mind??
  3. Who put the pics up of the super charged yaris on the first few pages? I owned that exact car aswel about 3 years ago, and funny enough the con rod snapped on me aswel lol hame fun little car that was, really miss it
  4. And as above, check your spark aswel as that is a really quick test aswel
  5. You can check fueling by just pulling off the fuel pipe at the injector rail and get some one to turn the car over quickly, if fuel sprays out then that aint your prob, bit easier to do than start pulling your injector rail apart, itl take you seconds to test that
  6. I agree if its immobiliser the car runs for about 2 seconds then cuts out, had that issue whilst swapping a vr6 into my mk2 golf years ago, i know with later mk4 golfs theres also an immobiliser in the clocks that works along side the key and ignition halo, but doesnt sound like your problem anyway, make sure youve got very good earth connections to your engine because that can cause a non start problem, also check your getting fuel, turn the ignition on and make sure you can here the fuel pump prime, itl buzz for about 3 seconds if its working correctly
  7. I didnt realise you could gain that much through loosening the bolts, ive had lots of mk2 golfs and they were a similar setup and you didnt gain much camber at all that way, thats why i thought id ask the question first as i havent got round to trying it yet, and yea the car is lowered, id say roughly 90mm so quite low on 14's, im going to be running 20mm spacers up front on 7j's so ive been looking at options as i know its going to be dam close to the arch, im running about 3 degrees out back and my tyres have been fine, not wearing odd at all, iv got laser alignment aswel so i can track the car properly after, just wanted the low down on these bolts as iv never used them, and by the sounds of it wont have to either, thanks for your advice tho peeps, time to get the arch roller out and get my rims sitting pretty
  8. Yea thats how you do the mk2/3 golfs aswel, im lucky enough to have my own laser alignment so can sort the toe aswel once iv altered the camber, these camber bolts seem very misleading so wanted to get the low down before i order them thanks for your advice tho dude
  9. This i what i was unsure of sorry forgot to say that in the post, when i googled it, it was comin up people using it to get rid of neg, but they asvertise them as though there to create neg, if that makes sense, im going to be running 20mm spacers on 7j rims and im quite low so not sure if i will gain enough camber through simply pushin the hub back on the bolts? Have you gained -1.5 by doing just that?
  10. Just wondered if anybody on here has used these yet? Im looking to get more negitive on the front, i know you can loosen the shock bolts and push the hub in and gain abit of negitive but im after more than that will allow, im assuming the camber bolt goes on the top bolt hole to acheive this? Any feedback from others that have used them would be great

  12. Thanl for your advice lads, yeah stripped the switches, all the discs are there and look perfect, almost new, checked all fuses, but havent tryed new relays yet so thats worth a shot, il let you know i i have any joy this time lol
  13. Hi, ive go a really strange problem with both my windows, seen alot of posts about windows but mine is very odd, passenger window, i you use switch from drivers door it will only send window down and no up again, but works fine from passenger door, so seen your post on repairing switches, stripped them, they look new, so tryed the drivers window switch to. Send passenger window down, same problem, will only send down, so id like to think thats not the switches, now my drivers window has stopped working completly, but heres the thing, if you press the button, it doesnt make the "clunk" to suggest its seized or stuck, nothing happens at all, so checked all switches, fuses, wiring through the door, stripped door to see if there was a break or if it was jammed, but all looks fine, so my question is, is there an electric window module/ control box? If so where is it located? Really bugging me now lol so any advice would be great, thanks
