  1. This is my old car. I sold it about 2 years ago, maybe a little longer. Loved it and always regretted selling it. However I'd go on vosa website and check the mot history on its original reg if you can cos I'm sure the mileage was higher than that when I owned it. Could be wrong but for some reason I'm sure it was higher than that. Good luck with the sale mate
  2. What the score with those airbag resistors for the steering wheels as my MOMO one has set my light off. How do they work and fit also where do I get them from and how much. Gti looks sweet by the way ;-)
  3. I currently have a small MOMO Team 280 steering wheel fitted, and although it looks 100% Mario Kart, I'm fancying something a bit different. Ideally I want to go to something thats a genuine VW part, but looks a lot more modern than the standard gti wheel as I hate it. I Was wondering if I can fit something from a newer VW like a mk5 or mk6 golf wheel, or maybe something else from about 2006 onwards? Will the airbag fit and plug in ok, and what else would I need to fit it as currently its fitted with the steering wheel fitting boss kit for my MOMO. Thanks, Dan
  4. I have mk4 golf gti recaro seats out of a 5 door model fitted into my lupo gti, you can adjust the back far enough forward to get people in the back, not ideal but I can live with it.
  5. I have mk4 golf gti recaro seats, and thats the same one to fit them
  6. My Gti just took on this bad habit about a month ago, it was a case of worn discs (it had cheap pretty looking drilled and grooved rubbish on) been replaced for some good quality Pagid discs and pads and now drives like she should. It'll only be the front causing it, you'll have to be a monster on the brakes for the rears to go first or at the same time. Just renew fro t discs and pads and don't put cheap rubbish on as you'll just end up doing the same again very soon!! If it's doing the judder without braking you'll need your wheels balanced, but if it's just under braking it'll be what we've all said. Dan
  7. Order a passenger side stubby mirror from german VW dealer or eBay.de
  8. Sweet, are you from around the washington area? As far as I know theres only another raven blue gti chopping around washington? Have you done much to your gti apart from the wheels? It was hard to see Dan
  9. Looked good with those black wheels on ;-)
  10. I've sent chris260 a message but no reply as yet :-( Owen how do you think I would be able to ask the owner next to you. Anyone with a black Gti local please get in touch as I'm running out of time :-(
  11. Yeah that's my new plan of attack to get a picture of a standard black Gti with my wheels on. They just need to see it with no exhaust and window tints. And yeah that is mine on the bank with the yellow wheels
  12. Hi there I live in washington just outside of sunderland, I was just wondering if anyone local with a GTi could do me a favour and let me borrow their GTi back box just so I can a quick photo of it on my car and then put it straight back on for you. I will do all the removal and refitting, just I have a scorpion exhaust on at present and my insurance want a photo of it with a standard exhaust on. I have to have the photo sent off by the 5th of May so only have a few days, many thanks, Dan

  17. Hi, I've had a quick look on here and in to 'how to' section but appologise if this has already been covered. I'm wanting to know how to safely remove my drivers side door car or even just partial removal as it worked its way loose from the corner where the pop up door lock pins are, and is drooping in that corner. They have been removed in the past for a re-trim so maybe just not put back firmly or a daft clip broken. So I want to remove it to see whats going on and try and rectify it. I can post a video to show where its loose if this will help but will have to do it tomorrow, any help in the meantime would be great Dan
  18. here's a picture of mine for inspiration and ideas:
  19. worth getting done though, here a picture of mine with it done:
  20. Excuse the poor picture quality as they're just some quick snaps off my phone, but here is my black GTi with re trimmed MK4 Golf GTi recaro seats in a deep ox bood type red:
  21. Cheers for that Benny, so I'm guessing the 39mm festoon bulb is the size I need and not 36mm
  22. I just want some brilliant white ones to match my xenon headlights really, not blue or owt like that. If they're too small what size do I need?
  23. Morning everyone, I'm wanting to replace the rear number plate lights to the more modern LED look, a friend of mine has pointed me in the direction of these that he has used in the past and highly recommends them, however when you check the fitment list on the page they claim they don't fit the lupo, any ideas if they will or won't fit: Have a look and any help or guidance will be appreciated: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-36mm-Xenon-White-6000k-LED-Number-Plate-Festoon-Light-Bulb-272-C5W-SV8-5-/140659455189?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20bff4f4d5 Thanks, Dan
  24. Hi Defcon5, just saw your reply, thanks for the offer that you would have come to save the day. The RAC come and saved the day in the end, but thanks again mate, the offer is appreciated Dan
  25. I've done the same with mine and done some Transformers ones, black circle background with chrome Autobots heads stuck on top, 5 minute job and cost about a tenner ;-)
