  1. 1. Yes - Machine a circular piece of aluminium to fit where the distributor was, make sure it's a precise fit and use lots of sealant. There are two threaded holes the distributor uses. Use these. 2. Do they line up?
  2. Ahh okay I didn’t know that! Seems like good settings. Is the subframe out of line though to give the odd caster readings?
  3. Nice. What GoPro mount are you using too that allows it to move slightly? And what geometry have you gone for?
  4. As per title, I have two very good condition suspension arms fitted with Powerflex black series bushes front & rear. Asking for £90, can throw in delivery if needed. Location wigan.
  5. Could you really be bothered though? Doubt you'd get charged more than £10-20 for one of a breaker. 12 minutes as opposed to 12 hours of a job.
  6. Thanks for that - looks just the job and a reasonable price! Looking specifically for adjustable, want to adjust camber without having to move top of wheel closer to strut/spring. But the info re fixed upgrade will be useful for when I do the suspension on the TDI! Thanks
  7. Hey up - anyone aware of somewhere that does adjustable top mounts for the Lupo? (Or what else uses the same - 6N/6N2 are the same too I think). See @Kam Racing have some listed on their site but says "No options available" so I'm assuming they're no longer available. Cheers
  8. I wouldn't trust that guy.
  9. I see the doors are still there. Me thinks a trip to York is in order.
  10. Thanks, I'll be sure not to enter my credit card details now!
  11. The breather pipe you refer to being aimed down at the road is in fact the air intake, which is fine to be as it is. The one Mk2 is referring to lives underneath the plastic airbox, roughly where the dipstick is. It's a push fitting and is easy enough to simply remove from the airbox.
  12. If you squint, you can just about make out the Lupo!
  13. Meh. It's personal taste I guess. I don't like them but if OP does then fair enough. It's nice to see someone doing something different at least.. The rear bumper is growing on me though!
  14. If it helps you, I'm only down the road from you really near Wigan. I have a Polo 6N2 sat outside with a 1.0 AUC engine in it which at the moment is doing nothing. If you need a new head, complete engine or any bits just drop me a message. I do not however have a compression tester.
  15. x = Drivers lock spring is bust Y = Microswitch is being held down X + Y = N N = New Lock or repair kit. Readily available from manies of places.
  16. What have you tried thus far in diagnosing the problem? Essentially whether the car starts doesn't particularly matter at this point. The gear selector doesn't know if the car is running or not.
  17. If it is the above, I have a 1.0 AUC Polo at home and would have one available. (All engine parts for that matter)
  18. Ok, changed top mount bearing and also discovered the front bolt of the suspension arm was slightly loose contributing to the banging. Still getting an odd noise on lots of turning to the right, suspect maybe tyre is catching on the spring as I noticed some rubber shavings on the strut and spring. The noise has only been present since I got the camber set to -1.5 deg, so ordered some 3mm spacers to move the wheels outwards slightly.
  19. Changed ball joint for good measure but didn’t really do anything. Ah well, one less out of the collection! Top mount & bearing will be here tomorrow. I am hopeful that you’re going to be the winner of this one @mk2. FE264B37-0313-44BF-8380-D86E3A7BE611.MOV
  20. I would have been inclined to think that also but I’m not too sure. It seems to clunk in a straight line too with no steering input.
  21. Clunking randomly over bumps etc and then noticed this when I stopped. And a weird whirrring sound when turning heavily to the right. At first I put the clunking down to the diff that’s in the car but seemingly not! Not had time to properly inspect, but sounds like a ball joint, right? A2FA1568-5F4C-483B-A84E-C2A9FA4EFF25.MOV
  22. Yep. I did fear that £65 seemed a bit too good to be true. So I've got a new OEM one on order. Fingers crossed we don't have any further issues!
