  1. I'm with Brentacre, no added cost for suspension mods. Might be cheaper to wait for your policy to finish then go with a specialist and have you mods fitted as you renew your insurance.

    SOLD

Mike, You might want put theses on a tvr forum as they can be used to upgrade chimera and cerbera headlghts keeping a factory look. Pistionheads is probably your best bet. Angelo
  3. Have you got a rough idea how much this will cost? What kind of gains are you hoping to achieve? The amac website looks quite good, have you felt with them before?

    Whiteline Rear ARB

I bought a full polybush kit from them in august, best speaking to al to see what they have in stock. Regarding the rear arb, comes with polybushes, best pound for pound mod you can do.
  5. ill have a nosey pal, Looks like my track car is sold now, deposit paid so down to the lupo and the truck, might finally get the car finished! Out of interest, how much did the calipers cost you?
  6. Scotty what set up have you gone for? Trying to keep my wheel size to 15's as I have a few different sets of tyres. Uprated brakes are next on my list hopfully by january.
  7. carriers from the scrap yard, £50.00, cleaned up and painted, new disks £70.00 for standard might be able to get them cheeper on here, new pads, loads of options but the one you have for the polo will be fine. I had to phone a few scrap yards before i found some, there is a list of suitable carriers on the how to thread. I look like a mutant hamster at the moment!! jaw is massive, thanks fo asking though. Angelo
  8. Im old! 34 tomorrow, for me I have been lucky enough to run other cars along side my lupo which I bought with 10,000 miles on about 8 years ago. I liked the car standard, Nippy rather than fast and a nice place to be. I upgraded the brakes first, G60 carriers and disk, ths was done a few years ago as in my personal experiance the abs kicks in too soon on the standard disks. The exhaust was repalaced along with a new race cat as my standard on was shot. Same with the bushes and suspension. My lupo is the least powerful car I have, My nissan navara pick up feels much quicker through the gears but that is down to torque. I would definatly recomend that you uprate your brakes, Pads disks and carriers can be had for £200.00 if you shop about, takes no more than an hour per side to change. Even with the moderate power I have in mine, I feel the 280mm upgrade is marginal when pushing on, once I have finished welding up my induction pipework, new brakes are the next on my list to do. Have you upgraded the suspension? Back to the original topic, I have wasted thousands on modifying cars over the years, thats without taking the extra insurance costs into consideration. But, Its fun, You improve your mechanical knowladge, and I would have never have built a car with my dad if I had'nt been messing around with cars for the past few years. Plus if you work on your own car, at least you know it has been done properly (or broken properly if its your first time!) Anyhow, Just had 2 wisdom teeth out so smaked out on pain killers at the moment and off work a little board, so sorry for the ramble. I love my lupo, longest relationship I have ever had!!!
  9. I have spare front seat covers for my gti, where are you based? Your more than welcome to come and measure them up.

    Lowering?

Hi James, I am currently fitting my weitec coilovers along with a full set of polybushes and new top mounts. I also have the adjustable white line/awsome rear anti roll bar. Hopefully have it all on by Thursday then have the alignment set and good blast. It all depends what you want you want to use the car for, but I would advise having the alignment done if you do change and also check your bushes as you may as well change them at the same time. Standard bushes are not that expensive, worth doing. Are you doing the work yourself? I have three way adjustable coilovers on my locost track car, unless you know what your doing there are to many variables in my opinion for general road use, unless your pushing on all the time there is no real benifit over fixed rate dampers. Anyhow, bit of a long winded post, of your interested ill let you know how I get on and as far as pricing, speak to al at awsome gti, bought all my bits from there and he was conpetive on price and patient with all my daft questions. Hope this helps Angelo Posted from my I phone
  11. I have been quoted from £50 to 75 per cover so you would need four for the rear seats. Also depends on the material cost. Regards Angelo
  12. Ill keep an eye on this too, Have a 100 cell cat ans stainless steel exhaust from pipe worx, 4-2-1 manifold is next on my list along with finishing off my induction piping and finding the best postion for the filter. Thissy, Have a spare engine for parts if they need to experiment with anything, sitting on a pallet in my workshop. Regards Angelo PS, Matty your car sounds awsome still toying with the idea of a decat, will probably have a decat pipe made up when i have the manifold done.
  13. Up a bit early al, cheers for sorting the coilovers out for me, picked them up yesterday
