  1. Now the Lupo has been running nicely all summer, apart for a few weeks when it was in the bodyshop to get well again after being hit by a truck or something while being parked. i´ll never know so... Soon it will be time for some winterupgrades and for this season i´ve planned for a new gearbox, fuelpump and Audi S3 turbo+manifold+custom ecu. The gearbox is a 0A4 (02JB) from a Caddy tdi and it will be fitted with a peloquin diffrential. For fuelpump i will go for a Walbro in-tank. For the engine uppgrade i´m planning to use a k04 turbo+manifold from an S3 and i will go for the S3 injectors and a custom ecu program that will give the engine around 285Hp, i think that it will do in a Lupo but you´ll never know : ) Time will tell if i can make all uppgrades this winter but i´ll try... For now the Lupo is getting a Roofspoiler from rieger and pop-out rearwindows next week. Here´s a pic on my way home from a show chased by a friends 500hp Golf Mk1 Turbo, i didnt stand a chance... : )

  4. Finally i found a place where i could buy a Rieger roofspoiler in Sweden and nice price to : ) Only cost ~180£ I orderd one right away..

  6. Im searching for a nice looking roofspoiler for my Lupo. I dont want the 2 piece type so im looking for a model like rieger or another nice model in one piece. I´ve looked at ebay.de and there are sellers that have rieger for a nice price but they dont ship to sweden or ant other country than germany. So i´m looking for a dealer that is able to ship to sweden and have a nice looking roofspolier thats not to overpriced. A dealer in sweden sell the rieger one for amazing ~300£ Anyone that can give me any suggestions..?

    17" alloys

    I´ve got 17" et37 on my Lupo and the only problem i had is to much tire I had 205/40/17" and it scraped like hell... Now i got smaller ones, 185/35/17" and it works fine without the adjuster nuts in the rear. Heres a picture of it:
  8. My Lupo 1,8t made 189whp and 300Nm on the rollers. Its got Stage 2 Ecu and full 2,5" exhaust and GreenCotton full flow airfilter. I can say that its a fast car but far from insanely fast. It works fine as a trackday car but is a bit heavy in the nose. My car serves as a daily driver and it handles as if it still had the 1,4 16v in it, its just lots of more power Andt heres no greater feeling that the one of racing a BMW or an Audi and beating/humiliyating them with the "cute" little Lupo
  9. You need to get a custom downpipe made to fit the Lupo. I made mine with the engine in place so it fits properly.   11. Last weekend me and Lupo went to Bugrun, scandinavias biggest VW meet. On my way home in hope of leaving a bit earlier i went to get Lupo from the show area and found a note i was happy to see, it said: You have a price winner please contact us" I had won "Best engine" award, not bad i think Here is a pic of it at the show! More to come!
  12. You dont need to get the loom out of the car, i didnt... Instead i made a adapter cable from the three connectors that is located at the gearbox side of the head. I left all original wiring in and just cut into those cables i needed, much less work. Connectors for starter and alternator is also located on the left front beam. All you will need is already under the hood, you just need to cut in about 5-6 cables in th loom from the large connector on the ecu. For a direct fit of your Polo gti hubs you will need to switch sides of yor lower balljoints and you also need shorter tie rods from Lupo gti or you just cut about 1cm of them.

  15. Yesterday me and Lupo went to Dahlbäck Racing to get some more power under the bonnet. It went well, i got MTM-stage 2 ecu program cause i already had full exhaust and big airfilter. So now its 214hp and 320nm in little Lupo. Nice power curve and the Lupo feels like any normal car when you use it for everyday transport, very nice! Also got my new tires for my 17":s an the new dimension will be 185/35/17", mmmm! A little prewiew:
  16. A little update.... Today i got my 1,8 20vt conversion roadlegal in sweden, such a relief : ) All the money i spent on this project is worth every penny when ever you get to drive it
  17. 1. I´ve used the Mk4 golf mount for the rightside and welded the console from mk4 into the Lupo. For the left side (gearbox) i´ve used lupo standard upper part but with custom made mount on the gearbox. 2. The Driveshafts i have used is from mk2 16v with Lupo outer joints, the rightside is left untouched in length but the left one is shortned about 5cm. The hubs is Lupo Standard. I doubt these joints and shafts can handle 250hp but they work fine for 150-200hp,i have tested them. 3. No bigger cuts is needed, only real cuts i´ve made was when cutting and drillig out the old engine console on the right side. A little cut in right front beam for more clearance was made too. And a bit of "massageing" the front beam with a sledgehammer too 4. I have a Lupo Gti shifter with Golf Mk4 Gti shiftcables for 02J trans. About the electrical bit....just take the scheme for the donor car and one for your Lupo and compare wich cable is wich and write it down contact for contact. Then use these charts to compare what cable that should pair. I have the whole Lupo left untouched and just made me a adaptorcable that fits Lupos contacts. Only 6 of 18 cables where cut and soldered into the lupo loom, W-line, Rpm-signal for tacho, and a couple more.

For the left side (gearbox) i´ve used lupo standard upper part but with custom made mount on the gearbox. I doubt these joints and shafts can handle 250hp but they work fine for 150-200hp, i have tested them Its not only mounts and shafts that haveto be custom made, its exhaust, intercooler piping, and pretty much everything else..... Start with getting the engine in the car and get it running properly and then tune it as you like, thats my opinion.

  20. New rims ordered! Didnt go for bathursts... I know it´s been done before but i bought Ronal R10 Turbos and 195/45/r15 tires. It´s hard to resist them when i found them for only 430£ in sweden to They look good and it´s a classic.
  21. Thanks for the warning, i´m afraid its going to be hard to get someone to send a set of rims to sweden without to much problems... I´ll just haveto wait and see if a set shows up on the forum and then discuss with the seller. I bet you want..
  22. The Arosa mk1 lower bumper is pretty much the same as Lupos lower one. Ive compared my Lupo bumper with a Arosa mk1 at work and there is minor differences on the lower part, the upper one is another story It wont fit either i´m afraid.
  23. Hi! Im searching for a set of Lupo Gti rims (Bathursts) and there is none for sale in Sweden but there seems to be a couple of sets in UK. So i wonder, if i find a set that i like maybe there is someone who can help me ship them to Sweden? The ones on Ebay always say only ship to UK I desperatly need smaller rims for my Lupo 1,8T so i thougt that Bathursts would be a perfect choice. Anyone who knows if they are 6½" or just 6"?
  24. Thats a no! i´ve just tried the other way around, fitting a mk2 arosa lower bumper on the Lupo upper. Nowhere even near a fit so i forgot that idea...
  25. Answerd your PM! My old engine is built from parts of AUA(block), AUS(head), ARC & AUS(camshafts), AUB(internals) so it pretty much fits like LEGO
