  2. cheers for that, rang him up and he wasn't sure about the gearbox so said he'd find one from a lupo tdi, but he was sure about the sump so that's on it's way. first thing off the list After all the work you poured into it i had to care for it and keep it as good as it could be, unfortunately half of the smooth bumper was destroyed but still keeping the top half
  3. yeah it is but i wouldn't say i drive like a nun, i drive quite nippy around town and it's fine
  4. i'm 18, was 17 when started the policy, insured on my tdi for £1500 with coop young drivers, my car and my policy, my dad is a named driver

  7. Bumper is just a few screws under the bonnet and some screws in the arches then there's some clips on the under tray and it should just clip off
  8. I just pulled mine off, it was just clips

  10. very pissed off but it's happened now and just gotta get on with fixing it the money spent on fixing it i originally planned to buy one XD thinking of just zip tieing the bumper back together JDM style until i find another front bumper for sale

    Crashed.

    know the feeling, locked up my wheels and smacked into a kerb i wasn't as lucky as you and cracked my sump, subframe, bent a wishbone and destroyed the lower half of my bumper. i know the feeling it's horrible! hope you get back driving soon!
  12. Managed to get the heated seats plugged in today. I thought I may aswell get it in whilst the cars off the road. My uncles neighbour works for vw so I'm waiting of a quote from him on a subframe and hopefully should start work on the car soon
  13. Hi, I have lupo gti interior and I'm currently in the process of fitting it. It's the same loom as the mk4 golf and that loom a 'switch live' goes into relay 75x but I don't have this relay in the arosa. Anyone know where this goes?
  14. vw want £270 for the subframe and £120 for the mount i snapped. can't find a sump anywhere either
  15. sump damage gearbox casing subframe and wishbone cracked mounting how it's sat now
  16. so far the parts needed for definite: front subframe wishbones sump engine mount maybe a starter motor bumper
  17. Been under the car this morning, passenger side wishbone is bent and the subframe is badly cracked where it joins the wishbone
  18. sorry to do a huge bump it just saves makinga new thread. you say the polo subframe is the same as a standard lupo. i have an arosa tdi 52 reg will the subframe be the same as a polo 9N 1.4tdi?

  20. Got the car jacked up on my drive on axle stands and the engine is held up with some bricks. Subframe has a crack in it, sump has a pretty big hole in it, and 2 engine mounts are snapped and one is bent so as a minimum I need them.
  21. Thanks for the comments guys Minimum it will be sump, gearbox, driveshafts and engine mounts. Hopefully there's no damage to engine or subframe
  22. Left it in jcb car park then managed to find a recovery truck and got the car home at 5 AM
  23. Coming home from Alton towers. Was going round a wet roundabout near jcb. There was some diesel of the floor. I've slid straight off the road hit a kerb and then cracked my sump, gearbox and engine mounting, bumper is just dead and snapped a wishbone Things come in threes gunna be off the road for a while. Hopefully there isn't an issue with the engine but dunno until I get it off the floor
  24. the kerbing has ripped through the sidewall of the tyre so am currently borrowing g60's again. some good news! the loom should be heading out of germany tomorrow so warm bum time
