  1. I had to sell mine quickly as i had been made redundant from my job, could no longer afford to live in the flat i rented and owned two cars. I thought at £6500 i was giving the GTi away,03 plate under 10'000 miles and still people wanted to knock down the price. Hang in there, the guy that bought mine used to own a GTi and his wife was looking at buying a Mini Cooper, when he saw mine he had found the full asking price in cash within an hour. I now live in Poland and i've seen a few Lupos here.Only one GTi and that was in Poznan.
  2. 03 plate,mine from new,just got to 10K two days ago
  3. How much did you pay for your wipers? Windrush Slough have quoted me £73.00 for new wipers and arms style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />
  4. A guy at work has one,we raced on a duel carriage way, there was no way i could get past him,he slowed so we were level with each other then pulled away his was too fast for my GTi
  5. Maybe this topic should be locked now.Every post is going to take the píss or slate that poor Lupo.I have been a member here for a while now,i dont post much, but i read most of the post's every day because this site is the best there is for any one that owns a Lupo.If you need advise for a common problem, info on tyres, wheels, springs, electrical problems, installing ice, speakers or anything, someone will help you.I have noticed some people have an attitude problem, that is life, some people are born ássholes. When i bought my GTi,it was rare, the Lupo was rare. Not now. After seeing what people are doing to the car,i have been thinking of selling it.I dont want to,it is the best car i have ever owned Another (polo) website people are starting to say,"im gonna go for a Lupo".Cruso,JB,Snoop........i think i might follow you
  6. I finally got around to fitting the LED sidelights i got from tshirt2k.I've only fitted the passenger side so far.The problem is i keep blowing the 5amp fuse. The bulb works perfectly (i know it only works one way round) have wired it direct from battery to test it.When i put a new fuse in and the original bulb back it is ok.Do i need to fit a higher Amp fuse ?
  7. I bought my GTi from new,and the drivers side rear light didnt work, when i took it back to the dealer they told me bulbs were not cover by warranty, when i told them the car was 2 days old and bulbs should last longer than that they said "no problem" . 15 minutes later they said "it is a faulty bulb holder and we will have to order a new one" So i agree that VW's PDI sheet with all the little ticks means nothing, but apart from that the car has been faultless.I have done alot of driving over this Christmas, motorways and some good oxfordshire B roads, and the GTi is a good alrounder. It is a shame that we are all let done by a poor quality dealership net work.
  8. If you are under 25 then insurance is going to high on any performance car.Group 11 for the GTI is very good,im over "ahem 30" full no claims and im paying £255 fully comp with no cliams bonus. The lupo is a bargin car to insure
  9. I bought a 1.4S after owning a MK4 Polo (which was the worst car i have owned).I really liked the build quality and couldnt fault it in anyway except that it was really boring to drive. It was nippy around town but on the motorway not too good at over taking at high speed. The GTi is a totally differant car.I cant see the point in buying a "lesser" model and trying to make it look like a GTi.Save your money and the proper thing. You wont regret it style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  10. £70.00?.....There is a button with an image of a key on it next to the electric window button........press that ,it will lock all the doors style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  11. I did a round trip of 156 miles today.I had 1/4 of a tank, put ten quids worth of optimax in and had 1/4 tank when i got back. The GTi is the bollox on the motorway,in sixth gear doing 80mph,plant your foot and you can feel the car pull to 100 plus. One thing i have noticed is that it eats steep hills in sixth gear, ive never had to change into 5th.The best example i have is the A34 Oxford bound, lots of steep hills, plant your foot at the bottom and listen to the roar from the car as it takes off!.Long journeys a'rnt bad either i find the seats comfortable.Saw my first Raven blue GTi today on the Maidenhead road in Windsor about 6pm.Black is still the best colour style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
  12. Have you driven one? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  13. The ass end of the Lupo GTi is awful,i hate the twin pipes, the single oval on the Sport looks better. The GTi should have had the tail pipes both sides like the R32.
  14. Try this one,old but a good road test. http://www.tiscali.co.uk/motoring/roadtest...test_409_1.html
  15. Buy a Civic type R style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> not only will you beat him you will make him look really stupid for trying to beat you. If you only want a car to beat a Saxo vts dont waste your money on a Lupo GTi.Buy a Lupo GTi because you like the style and because there are not many around.
