  1. Quite a few Lupo's i've had and driven make that very same noise. Sound very much like a ships horn. I've had 2 VW dealers try their hardest to find it on more than one car. Both eventually said its just a characteristic(sp) of the Lupo, nothing to be worried about. Sometimes my one does it sometimes it does not.

However i've never had it make the same noise when going forward.

  2. well it is going to be the most popular colour being sold...if they sold more of them than any other colour to start with tongue.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

    Ermmm...I was talking about the current New car market in general not Lupo's. wink.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

  3. Book Values do not Apply on Lupo Gti's! They are a "cult" Vehicle so there will probally be someone who will pay over the odds for the "right car."

If you want i can get you Glass's and CAP but it won't mean a thing.

I've just looked on autotrader and they have a 03 plate for £8700 from a trader.

I would probally say its worth about £8750... If you put it up at £8995 no-one would probally get past the title of your advert because it would look too expensive. Go in at £8750 and stick to your guns. If no-one rings at that price then it is up for too much.

The person who i bought mine off was getting alot of calls for his Lupo GTi... so there seems to be a high demand out there for the right car. e.g mine 51/01 with AC ,20k, FVWSH, Silver £6000 Booked at over £7000 retail. And i bought mine retail.

Silver being a down side??? confused.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> Still the most popular colour being sold!

Unfortunately you paid top money for the car when you bought it... But you got a top car so don't worry!

    Good luck with the sale!

  4. Sorry i'm lost confused.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> Standard Gti's are 125/6 BHP... Yours Standard pumped out 130+??? What am i missing???

Also how much did it cost to get the re-map if you don't mind me asking...

  5. Thinking of Changing the wheel colour on my lupo.

    I know Black works... What about White??? blush.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

Could someone do a pshop with the standard Bathurst's on a Silver Lupo GTi???

    Thanks in advance!

  7. Im confused as to the need to have a fourth? were the others that bad? wink.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

The first 3 were company cars.... all great but at some point they had to be sold... sad.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Now considering this is only the second car i have owned, it shows how much i loved them and that i was actually willing to part with my own cash to get one... and when i've "had" probally close to 35 cars in my life (i'm 25 years old)... from BMW's to Nissans that must mean i'm really in love.....

  8. .... or nearly is, picking it up just after new year.

    Silver 01/51

    <19,000 miles

    AC

    6 Speed

Full VWSH, done every year regardless of millage.

Needs couple of alloys scuffs removed, couple of small, light scratches moped etc...

But i'm a very happy bunny... and thought i would share it all with you....

  9. Rust is quite a differcult thing to claim for....

What they mean by "Inside Out" anti-perforation warranty is any defects in the paintwork. Rust is normally occurs when there is a break in the paintwork and what causes rust generally comes "Outside In." Breaks being the smallest of stone chips.

Therefore they get round not having to fix it under warranty...

It is also differcult to claim for when the rust is there... if it was still at the early stages of bubbleing then it makes your job easier...

But take it to VW and see what their stance is... it changes from Dealership to dealership... it all comes down the warranty administrator and how "good" he/she is....

  10. 51/01 @ 46k 5650 trade 7000 retail based on a 6 speed

    51/02 @ 43k 5900 trade 7250 retail " " " "

    CAP i'll have for you in a moment smile.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

    CAP 51/02 @ 40k 4800 trade 6800 retail...

CAP is more "realistic" as its based on what actually happen at the auctions last month... However it does not take into account specialist cars and cult vehicles... and of course its only a GUIDE!!!! biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
