Technically no it doesn't void your warranty. But if you ask the average VW employee he will say yes. They find its easier to say YES than exactly what the "exact" situation is. I believe the garage that you have the work done at has to be: 1:VAT registered 2:Used vw approved parts 3:Possibly ISO9000 registered too. Their not allowed to say YES! Not guilty! I did think about doing them black, but a alloy wheel re-furb man i know recomended against it as this colour was easier to repair if the alloys get scuffed.

But before all that it needs a full service this month... And a bit of paint work to remove some chips down the edge of the doors from the previous owner, along with 3 pin dents. Saw a black Lupo Gti on the M4 heading away from london tonight, i was heading towards london. So didnt see a reg but it did have tinted windows. A bit vague i know but....

While your on the phone to them it may be worth checking when your warranty runs out. Reason being, warranty normally starts from when the PDi is done not from when the car is registered. Just worth a check to make sure. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I have mine done once a month. I can put the price up if you want style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> . No only joking. I'm not giving the whole pack inc the warranty etc. And one pack does do more than one car. But when i have seen valeting companies charging around £50 for just a valet i do believe its a good deal. I have'nt got a spare set of wheels. So leaving the car on stands is not an option. I'm also working saturdays. So your £100 + £40 for taking the tyres on and off + £20 petrol to get there. =£160 plus a day of mucking about doing sod all. £210 "There you go sir phone me when its all done and ready to collect" sound like a hell of alot better value. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Adam k: just had a look at the link you posted. They charge £199 if they have to remove the wheels and tyres etc and refit them. So its about the same once you take that into account.

Sorry that would include refurbing the wheels too.

Just a thought. I have access to a few valeters who would appreciate a bit of private work. I've worked through my friends and family, so thought i would offer it to you guy's. They would: Fully valet your car Apply Diamond brite (£300 from a dealer) These are professional valeters who work for a main dealer. And this would be on a sunday between 10-4pm. The Mrs's is going away on wednesday... so i want to get a few things done to the Lupo GTi while its not needed. 1st Thing: Anthracite alloys, i've found someone to do the in a dark silver/anthracite colouring to my bathurst's. What do i do about the center caps? I don't want them to be silver? Anyone know who can do the caps? Or is it a case of a spray can jobbie? 2nd thing: Black VW badges, i've searched the forum about them. But how do you get the rear one off? Loads of info about making them black, but not about removing the back Circle vw badge. How do you do it? Cheers for your help Neil
