  1. Whats the most shocking part you have been quoted for? I don't mean, garage "A" quoted "X" and then garage "B" quoted "Y" so garage "A" are a bunch of theifing so and so's... I mean: Pug 307cc Smashed mirror in sun visor... Guess how much? I would of said £50 MAX the worst way! £296.19+VAT and fitting style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> But if it had been £296.19+VAT and fitting for a cambelt change that would of been fine... that would seem about right... Am i making sence... Whats been so small but so over priced? Neil style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Your quite right... #1 But people still get it done if they are so inclined... and along with the legality bit... well none of us are whiter than white..... #2 You tell them a week or so after the event that you had the windows tinted... Hey i just explained how its possible to get it done, i've not tinted my windows so i havent gone about it in this way... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

    Window Tinting

£50 for 5 windows. Ring up your insurance company and say i've had a chip/crack on my windscreen and it needs replacing. They say sure no prob. You say can i use this company i've used before as i've had major probs in the past and i trust these people to do the work correctly. At this point they will go Yes/No. If they say yes. You ring up the company you already have an agreement with and give them the go ahead. Then all it costs you is £50 excess or whatever your window excess is... My little tip of the day.... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Neil
  9. Good: Evo- As good as i thought it would be. My affordable dream car. X5- I can see why they are so popular with mums... smooth well made, could have more rear leg room. 200sx- so much fun, so dangerous... "i swear i was facing the other way a second ago...." Skyline- Mmmmmm ... point, shoot and hold on for dear life Nissan Terrano- was my mum and dads, so my 1st car, had so much fun in it! 7up and a case of stella, what more do you need! TVR Tuscan- such a head turner, great feel and response, dam that gear stick gets hot! Touran- Got to be the best Mini MPV out there at the moment... 407- very good saloon, handles well, looks great, just make sure its a 136bhp diesel. Alfa 147 GTA- make sure you drive one after a R32... you'll see the difference... Bad: E46 M3-Did not like the driving position, i was not overly confident about the RWD... Would not be on my lottery winning list. TT- cramped, not a big fan. BMW Mini (cooper)(S)(Works)- Don't like mini's full stop... don't know what all the fuss is about Jeep Cherokee- What were you thinking when you bought that? Handles like a canal boat, should of stayed in the USof A Rover(s)- No wonder they went bust- had'nt had a new design in over 10 years! ML- Should of waited the delivery time for an X5... pants interior, low quality... and no sir its not still worth the 30k you paid for it, scrap metal is now £7 per tonne! so i owe you £16 A-class- Please see above, i don't like repeating myself... Freelander- Oh please, designed for off road, interior to prove it, drops in value like a stone though water. I'm pleased to say the Lupo GTi was on my sub £10k dream list.
  10. The Mrs had one as a courtesy car last week after the dealer scuffed and took a chunk out of the alloy and tyre... She said she spent more on petrol in a new 1.2 polo than she would normally in the GTi... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" />
  11. Still has a CD player above it... but still if you have that much money shorly your not still stuck in the 1990's.
  12. Y-Reg @53k= 5025 (glass's) £6375 retail Y-reg @53k= 4425© 3950(A) 3500( style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> CAP £6275 retail Private plate won't get you any more for it... its a personal preference. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Unless you have the number plate "01" then you cars worth about £2000000

    Deal or No Deal

I have managed to get £250k but that was more by luck than judgement... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  14. No haggling involved... just ring them and say this is what i want, this is what i need... how much? Helps if your talking to the right person though... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Hey if you want it i can probally get it... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  15. The above figures equal 8% discount. Nothing amazing, nothing that a normal VW garage could not do. You could probally get it cheaper from your local if you play your cards right. Failing that... let me know and i will get it same/cheaper than that for you. Neil style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

  19. I've got a Sony head unit in the lupo (was already there when i bought it! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> ). And i find it jumps quite alot... is there something i can do to reduce/stop this from happening? Cheers Neil
  20. I'll try and dig out the number for you on tuesday. Are you really sure you want an open air though? It was not really a popular option back in the day. You might be better off with re-sale with just a normal electric sunroof. Cost about £300 normal elec roof. Neil Edit: heres a place: http://www.covert-installations.co.uk/sunroof.html
  21. They were generally an option on all models except gti. But can be retro fitted if you want. I can get you a number if you like. Neil style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

    fool!!!

I've just been told a funny one... My fiancee was just out in the lupo, and was at a petrol station filling up. Some young boy comes up to her in the shop and goes: fool: Hi is that your Lupo Gti??? Mrs: Yeah? fool: Ah nice car.... Next time get the TURBO version... If this same thing happens to you please give him a slap and educate him! Many Thanks Neil style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

    L4UPO

There is no such car on HPI for L4UPD... so its not that one. Rob GTi: Can you get me your chassis number so i can check that its your car registered with the DVLA. Along with date of reg etc and when you bought it.
  24. Wayside VW Quoted £340 including water pump... But can be got cheaper from VW specialists.
  25. The VW garage i just spoke to advised that it was 40k or 4 years... i just wanted a second opinion. Anyway can't avoid it... needs doing. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />
