I swapped my leads about 6 months back and it made it a LOT better, still occasionally boggy so be interesting to see where you get with this Any chance you could post pics mate?

My Arosa has had the same problem for like two years now! One of the plugs is like a pool of oil at the minute, is it really as simple as covering it with sealant?! I've been putting it off just because I didn't wanna fork a couple hundred out for the repair.

Anyone got a source? Every time I search it all I see is stuff from around January/February. No mention on VW's website and no recent articles

Is there any way of checking myself without ripping it apart/spending a feckload of money? On a REALLY tight budget

I've had this problem with my Arosa Sport since just after owning it (2 years) Whenever the weather's cold and damp, my engine light will turn on and the car will struggle to start. First time, I had it hooked up and got told it was the lambda, so I changed the front one and all was good. 8 months later it started again, I changed the ignition leads, again problem solved. 9 months on from that it's doing it again, and another problem is whenever the car hits around 4000rpm while driving it lurches pretty heavy to the point where I was on a roundabout and it lurched so violently the car span out on me (standing water). Been told by numerous people it could be a leaky gasket or pipe, though I've no idea where to start looking, could be the head, but I've had no loss of water, no white smoke, no loss of power, no mayo ****e... I don't have a clue , but when I eventually get it started I have to keep the revs high until it warms up, or it cuts out on me. If I rev it while stationary I can hear a hissing sort of noise? Would make sense if it IS a gasket or a pipe? Any mechanic feel like giving me some advice? Pretty ****e quality vids, but you can sort of hear what's going on, tapping noises are the lurches... The lurches are a lot more violent than they sound. [media=]

Drove past just by the high school, had colour-coded bumpers, quite low and quite loud Woulda flashed but was following the police and didn't fancy drawing attention to my passenger wiper being dead haha

To put it into perspective, my insurance would have been £1,800 had I paid in one lump, could only afford monthly so they whacked on 37% interest. £210 a month ftl.

Seem to be having alternator problems myself, are they model specific? For example, I drive a Sport, would I need to get one specifically for a Sport or are they just specific to the range?

Mine were smoothed around 4 years ago by the guy I bought it from, and the only cracks I've got are from my old driveway and one knock in a carpark. A body shop should be able to do it, the fella I bought mine from was a body tech college student when he did mine and both bumpers are fine!

torque screws for the main T section and the underside of the drivers-side vent. left side prises out and the heating control surround just pulls out mate

No clear, but giving the main T unit a repaint this weekend so will try that, cheers

Or more specifically the T-shape bit of the centre console. Basically wanna know if the unit from the Lupos will fit into a mk2 Arosa without modification? Scuffed the glossy vents on mine prepping for paint and prefer the square vents anyway. Cheers.

Dunno if this was bad prep, but probably was, so here's an example of what can happen. Mine had been painted before I bought it, and had pitted/reacted. Sanded them back, primed, started again and got the same result. Giving them one more shot in satin black by sanding right back to the plastic and working the layers on from there, fingers crossed. Like above though, some people got sweet results, Arosa vents are harder 'cause of the little round vents being a different colour and plastic to the T-shaped unit.

Don't happen to have 4x100 to 5x112 adapters to go with them do you?
