Hiya, I'm after a flash red passenger side door for a lupo, based as close to south Wales as possible but willing to travel for the right one thanks in advance!
-
Hiya, just purchased some check straps for the lupo, just wondering if they are simple to fit on your own? Also they came in two boxes, are they the same for both sides?
-
Hiya, I'm just wondering if anyone knows is the red and charcoal seats will be a straight swap with the original days in a 1.4 16v lupo auto? Looking at getting some for the niece for her car

Would this fit the 1.4 16v auto as well do you know? -
Hiya, am after some standard front door cards and grab handles if possible, cheers!

Nice! My gf don't own her loopy anymore, but our niece does so I always get to see it. Very tidy looking car, love the wheels! At least it's not a bright purple, keep it up!

Hiya, just a quick question... Does anyone know if the gti air intake pipes are the same for a 1.4. My nieces lupo has the pipes but they are in a sorry state and need replacing
-
Hiya, I'm looking for the complete air intake pipe set that goes into the air filter box and also the fabric pipe that comes off it also

Hiya mate, is the top drivers headlamp still available? I'm guessing it would fit a 1.4?

car clunk when turning
shockwaves replied to shockwaves's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
hiya, not its not lowered, just on standard 14 inch alloys. funny you should say about the suspension arm bush, as that was flagged up on the previous mot, but not this years, which i thought was slightly odd. is there any way of checking myself if it is the bush gone, and if so, is there a sure way i could tell? -
hiya, been a while since ive posted on here.. the gf's car (lupo auto) had its MOT 2 weeks ago, passing first time with only a perrished wall tyre as an advisory. now as we we driving in it a few days ago we went over a small humpback bridge, only about 20mph ish, as we reached the peak of the bridge i heard a loud clunk (and felt it on the accelerator pedal) to which i then stopped to have a look underneath, to which i couldnt see anything unusal. now the car starts and drives fine, except when you turn either left of right, nearly full lock or there abouts, i still hear a clunk, and still feel it on on foot. sorry for the vague information, i dont drive it very often lol. also, when i feel it on the pedal, it clunks, then kind of vibrates, almost as if something is slipping/rubbing on something then moving back into place. any info would be greatly appreciated cheers shocky

sometimes i forget when i get back into my car and wonder why im not goin anywhere, forget to use the clutch lol
-
driving an auto is easy, just remember to keep your left foot on the "rest" pedal. i dont personally own an auto, but ive driven quite a few and i bought my gf an auto for her first car. very true whats been said tho, it isnt that exciting to drive but it is extremely smooth on the gear changes and does generally drive superb.

bump, anyone got one at all?
-
as title says really, i believe its called the pollen filter inspection cover, it also covers the ECU, i think. here is a picture of where it is located on the car, its where the big empty space is lol
-
hiya matey, im after the pollen filter inspection cover in the engine bay? as you look at the engine bay straight on, its on the right hand side above the coolant tank and below the windscreen p.s not on here very often but if you give me a pm that will come straight through to my phone cheers
-
what you need is some anti noise/anti vibration paint brax paste i have used this stuff personally and it is extremely good, best to use a heat gun to dry it quicker, all you do is take the door cards off and paint them on the door side, dry, then refit, makes speakers sound alot better. you should be able to get it cheaper than on that link, i didnt pay anywhere near that much for mine

hiya, i have had a quick look on the search, but couldnt find anything relevant im afraid. took my gfs lupo out for a spin the other day, and the word service (i think) came on the milometer, then it disappeared and left a number like 740, which when we drove it the miles went up. im not familiar with VWs, but i would guess that when it reaches 1000 it will be due a service. im just wondering whether this is a correct assumption or im just being silly. cheers for the help in advance

simple sub and speakers install for a noob
shockwaves replied to Dave!'s topic in Interior and In-Car Entertainment
ive never had to drill holes in any of my cars, theres always a way through, its just a matter of finding it. you will be seriously underpowering your amp, which could potentionlly cause more harm than good. i had a freiend who did this years ago, and tbh it sounded rubbish -
hey hey, only started driving it again the other day, as been worried about driving it, and also leaving it stood still for too long, wanted to take it for a quick drive, blow the cobwebs out etc lol. ive noticed no loss in power or performance tbh mate, and also the temp sensor has been working correctly and staying at the correct temp ( just below half way i believe).

wow, thats good mileage!

ahh right i see, wasnt sure as they came with the car lol also, "petunia" isnt my car, it is my partners, hence the name lol
