So it's been awhile since I updated... Players: Ultimate Stance, I had the privilege of being inside which was amazing Great end to the season! Bring on 2015!

So this is a bit late but... Edition 38 was an amazing weekend - the first time I've even camped and it was really good fun! Warning...Millions of photos! So the most amazing part of the weekend was this...Coming 3rd in the lupo category in Show & Shine, which considering the competition is completely amazing! I'm overwhelmed with all of the amazing comments & edition has definitely fuelled me with loads of new ideas for Alva in 2015!

Cheers for all of the lovely comments! So last weekend was a bit of a fail...I spent 2 days cleaning Alva in prep for VW Festival, I even got up super early on Saturday morning and drove 80ish miles to go and collect my new rear bags but the air install didn't go quite to plan, a line caught on the exhaust and had a nice hole burnt into it So no VW Fetsival for Alva At least she was super clean! On the brighter side, new lines were ordered & I'm pretty glad to say she made it to The Big Meet today (in the never ending rain!) So a few (okay quite a lot of) photos: New airlines Loving this fitment! And then some photos from the show today... Alva seemed to get a lot of attention and I was so happy to finally get her to a show after 2 years! It was amazing to catch up with people again, as well as meeting new faces - plus the teddy bear hat was back Sooooo excited for Edition this weekend!

So Alva finally came home yesterday after weeks being at the bodyshop! And shes finally looking like a complete car Lots and lots of work to do this weekend as she's off to VW Festival on Sunday. Many little details to finish, as well as some big changes too! If you're heading to VW Festival come & say hi!

So last week I purchased a new daily, a little birthday present to myself, a satin grey lupo GTi to replace my Seat Ibiza. Although my Ibiza is amazingly economical for my long daily commute it just wasn't fun enough... So here it is: Originally silver and then resprayed by the previous owner in satin grey, slightly lowered, performance exhaust, flocked dash and a few other bits & bobs. So first thing I did when I got home...New wheels!! Also lowered it another 30mm so it sits a bit nicer now & of course....put my biscuit tan leather seats in! So a few photos... Not too shabby for a daily

So excited to see the plans take shape!

They seem okay to be honest I'm running them on my GTi & they seem fine.

Looking amazing, that carpet has made a huge difference inside! Can't wait to see the wheels!

Cheers Alex! You'll definitely be seeing Alva around! I can't wait to see yours too! So an update on Alva... She's gone back to the bodyshop again for her respray - hoping to get her back next week! Then I've got just a few weeks to get her back together in time for VW Festival - exciting times!!

So I have been extremely busy recently! Unfortunately Alva's engine was still running really rubbish so the head had to come back off - the damage ended up being 6 bent exhaust valves and 2 bent inlets! (And before anyone asks - the timing wasn't out! I believe the head work wasn't right!) She's now all back together again and actually running nearly okay!! So she's now running, insured MOT'd & taxed which meant that she was able to go back to paint - finally! So anyone who has me on FB or is on any of the other lupo pages will know that I've gone a bit lupo crazy recently... I purchased Liam's old open air to put back to standard as well as a 1.4e Lupo & 1.4 sport Arosa to break both! I definitely think I'm crazy!! So I currently have loadsssss of parts stored in my garage!! Anyway Alva is nearly there now, once she's back from paint there's just a few things to add and then she will be ready to hit some shows...hopefully making Edition! Extremely excited that after 2 years shes finally back on the road!

So as the car is insured again from tomorrow, I thought it was about time to give the wheels a polish (which the boyfriend did) Before After Now its time to get some longer wheel bolts, centre caps and tyres!

Thanks very much! Its nice for someone to appreciate the amount of work gone into her to get her this far - still more to come! The boyfriend fitted my new tappets which has fixed the extremely tappy engine so I'm very happy, Alva now runs like a proper car. So today I tested out my new present - snow foam!! And the final results - nice and shiny! I can't wait for her to go back in for paint, get the wheels on and finish off putting everything, hopefully won't be too long now!

So the rocker cover is now back off my engine and I'm replacing all of the lash adjusters as we couldn't get rid of the tapping... Once Alva is again running she will be going back to get her second full respray - hopefully no problems this time! I was hoping to make it to early edition but it doesn't look like I will On a happier note I've decided to go UD with my camera and get some nice pictures, hoping to see lots of little Lupos there!

Yesterday Alva had her first proper wash in a very long time however, this has made me realise that paint has reacted on the whole car...I mean every single panel :\ Pissed off isn't even the word to describe it...I was finally getting there and now it needs another full respray. Doesn't show up well on photos but:

Cheers Craig I'm hoping to go to a few in the summer. So today Alva moved over to my new house and actually drove on the road for the first time in about 16 months, so happy to have her running again! Can't wait to get all the little finishing touches added before the summer and then get to some shows!

So since coming off the road at the end of September 2012, Alva is now finally running again! Very chuffed! She'll be having a good wash this week and then moving to my new house next weekend! I'll make sure that I post up photos!
