  1. Just sold my Lupo GTI, had this as a spare tyre kept at home (as obviously the GTI has no spare!) 205/45/15 Dunlop SP2000, as fitted to the standard bathurst's at the factory. Part worn but in decent condition, no cracks or bulges. i have'nt measured but i'd say theres about 4mm tread left. If anyone wants this, i'll let it go for £10. Don't really want to post it so collection only. Item is located in Barnsley, just off j36 of the M1. PM if interested! Cheers
  2. I'm with swift cover and i have it on my policy. Did'nt ask for it but its nice to have. I'm 27, so it could be an age thing.
  3. My weekly commute to work down south in my standard GTI is 160 miles each way. 150 of which is motorway. Averaging 80mph i'll get around 250 miles before light comes on, without tampering with the "magic button."
  4. I've used a plethora of products over the years, i'll just suggest what i find best for silver paintwork as thats what i have. Shampoo - Poorboys Slick n' suds Clay bar if required Polish - Clearkote vanilla moose Sealant - Poorboys EX-P Polish - Collinite 915 marque d'elegance And i cant recommend highly enough www.detailedobsession.co.uk - You can email directly the guy who runs it (gaz) with your cars details (paint/finish etc) and he will be more than happy to advise you on the best products for your needs. He also did club discount for the last forum i was on, not sure if he does it for club lupo?
  5. Car was registered on September 11th, 2001..... Done 87k
  6. Around Oxford area at about 11pm last night. W plate, standard looking sport Nice looking female in the passenger seat!
  7. I'm now at a point where it never gets cheaper when i renew. 27, home owner, 7 years no claims, 3 points... but then it only costs me £320 a year to insure my GTI I've been there - 17 year old new driver, on my own insurance. My first car was a 1.0 Citroen AX which cost £1500 TPFT, 10 years ago! It does get better with time, you just have to be patient
  8. Cheers Chris, I'm gonna have another bash at getting mine to work tomorrow. Failing that, if im over that side of the pennines any time soon i'll drop you a PM!
  9. Lupo GTI - 125 Girlfriends Lupo 1.0 E - 50 Total = 175 bhp! Pretty sad we both have Lupo's i know!
  10. Yeah i did, the free version. I have the blue FDTI cable and downloaded the driver from their site. I'm all out of ideas!
  11. I've downloaded the correct drivers, found the correct COM port which is ok... Plug everything in with ignition on, following the instructions, but when i test the port it says something like "port ok, interface not found." Im guessing its a problem with the driver for the cable?
  12. Hi, Is there anyone in The Barnsley area that has VAGCOM and is kind enough to help me out? i've downloaded it and got the cable myself, just cannot get it to work! Airbag light is on, which is making me a bit sad. Cheers Liam
  13. I also did this for the same reason. If i recall correctly, the black covers have a plastic tab to pull on? once thats off you can get to the bulbs and they just pull out of the holder. Slide new ones in, reverse process, done! The drivers side is much harder to access so you will probably lose some skin off your knuckles! Looks much better when done, although still "yellow" in comparison to the xenons. Lol @ Halfords manual. i would'nt let them attempt it either to be fair!
  14. Washed with poorboys slick n suds clay bar'd occasionally polished with clearkote vanilla moose glaze sealed with poorboys EX-P waxed with collinite marque d'elegance + all the other bits Dont have time to do all that very much these days mind!
