  1. Updae on X757HKY It is back up for sale, thank to @Mattymdm for sending this to me earlier. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325574654727?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=GTT0p74lRXa&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=aKXX9tWMQTK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  2. To update. I have got a much larger list of cars. This is thanks to LupoGtiboy who has been invaluable in cross referencing. There is a early L2UPO in green similar to the DBW cars. I have got to complete some final checks and hopefully i will have an answer on this in the near future. As featured here - Also there is a thread regading cars i would like further information on. Which can be found here. 1. Press Cars in 1999 1.1. T58DBW 1.2. T61DBW 1.3. T62DBW 1.4. T63DBW 1.5. T64DBW 1.6. T65DBW (Aka L6UPO) 1.7. T75DBW 1.8. T76DBW (Aka T51JEP, L4UPO Yellow 1.0e) 1.9. 3. Do not need to remake what i have already started. The thread can be found below.
  4. Thank you for all your comments. Looking at late June early july The tdi is around, however it has not been on the road for a while. The sport is officially dead (according to the DVLA)
  5. I was speaking to a lupo friend and was discussing the idea of doing a lap of the M25 to celebrate 20 years since top gear did the Lupo diesel vs petrol (start at South Mimms like the challenge). Would anyone be interested? Video for interest.
  6. From the above "The VW website says that recalls are forever. The recall is listed on the recall list and my chassis number is in the range listed. " Do you have a chassis number range as that would help some people out knowing about this fault. My black 1.0se had the issue and i got it repaired (at the time not knowing the about bIg F comment above). Whereas the GTi i have (2005) is still on its orignal (car on close to 70k). Also to note Vw was supposed to transfer the parts to hertiage. The part number is not listed here, i will see if i can find it so i can cross reference it.
  7. Sort of. When i got the 1st came belt done it was a return part only. 2nd time i ordered through a company called lcp and they got me everything - link to there website (https://www.lcpautomotive.co.uk/) Best to go in to them and ask. If its Ashford (Kent) they know me and these cars.
  8. The exhaust i did change on the car when it was 10 years old as it developed a rattle. I still kept the back box (not the centre section) as a pattern in case i ever had to get a new one made. To be honest if i needed to change the exhause i would go stainless. The main difficulty i suppose is a silly part. Eg a headlamp washer jet. I know someone is 3d printing them now but for a time it was not avalaible. I do hope in the future Hertiage do start supplying more remanufactered parts to keep these cars on the road. I did see they are now supplying New Beetle parts now and it seems the same issue with the lupo has occured again. Not all parts have been transferred over.
  9. After seeing @mk2 comment about people now religously wanting the lupo gti factory stock. In thinking about this comment i must of been one of the 1st if not the 1st as my one was modified somewhat before i owned it and i put it back to standard back in 2014 Link to my thread But on this topic. I suspect it will get extremely difficult to do due to a couple reasons. Main reason being unavaliablity of certain parts. Rear exhaust being a good example of this. 6E0 253 609 B is the part number, i have tried putting this in the heritage system and it does not even recongise the part. I did find 3 part numbers Walker 71351 - according to there e catelogue its undeliverable by the manufacturer (link -https://web.tecalliance.net/driv/en/parts/cars/part/13/71351/detail?targetId=15147&typeNumber=15147&targetCountry=AT#@brc/brands:Car;targetType:cars/assem:VW%20LUPO%20I%20(6X1%2C%206E1)%201.6%20GTI;targetType:cars;targetId:15147;typeNumber:15147;targetCountry:AT/lnkparts:Exhaust%20System;targetType:cars;assemblyGroupId:100004;targetId:15147;typeNumber:15147;targetCountry:AT;page:0/assignedPartDetail:71351;targetType:cars;brandId:13;articleNo:71351;targetId:15147;typeNumber:15147;targetCountry:AT) Fonos 616351 - cannot find a website for the brand. Veneporte VW80482 - similar to the above but more research required
  10. The 05 accident damage one is for sale again... https://www.copart.co.uk/lot/36595543/clean-title-2005-volkswagen-lupo-gti-sandtoft
  11. Unfortunately its quite a known issue the ball joints on a GTi are different compared to standard lupos. I found the below thread about it. This may help?
  12. Ifs it press cars i already made a thread. I did one for colour concepts, random lupo items (needs a bit of work that one). I have another thread in mind which i do need to type up at some point (i am aware of a couple of REALLY odd spec lupos whilst doing the press car research in the UK)
  13. Further too this. There is two part numbers for the rear caliper. One is painted red and the other is not. The unpainted one is no different to the painted one. The unpainted ones went on the sport.
  14. So a follow on for the press car thread One thing was mentioned by @jon_273 was that the Lupo was featured on a driven review. Well after 6 years the missing epsiode has been found. Link below. But also on the same channel i found another review that i did not know existed. James May reviewed a lupo on top gear in 1999, this was when he replaced Jeremy Clarkson on OLD top gear, James was only around in the 41st season and left. Here is the review anyway.
  15. Sounds like it could be the heater resistor. These are common for failing. I have had it on one of mine. Settings 1/2 would not work but 3/4 would. Part changed and fixed the problem. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153185609570?fits=Car+Make%3AVW|Model%3ALupo&hash=item23aa92e762:g:M14AAOSwnypi3-8q&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4GiJEDFp5p3AYqBcNdV%2BVH9VM3Orntwmqyb4ysuv02DtaZQmQQfKNL1r73HdE7k5lIlNAqdYJnbKtWFDVygK%2Bz3nH1DDGo6vsoV2o4bZWqZBWBBjqoNaYx%2F6ADI9ejTV4IoCiU%2BTO8nzAPAnRQYvWUoNOIw6pti5PmylYb2vmLmfs5zMmhSoVKTiEhlhNi2KtBVPe4W6jgjdy1wglm7a%2F8eD1FvENk%2FBlIIKc4lfY8HyYHmezpj7gxa%2FkN6RPuPq0kHQ0EGKj7heNm9u2kk7O9T2fq8hrw5xmi9YKn%2B3qk0S|tkp%3ABFBMpuyqve5g
  16. Now on ebay.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125461228715?hash=item1d36126cab:g:zuIAAOSwCf9i9r3R
  17. Hate to be that guy When i last checked this can only be done by Vw now. (I got htis confirmed from a member on here who works for Vw)
  18. These are no longer avalaible to buy anymore from what i understand. The best person to ask is @johnstayner96 He 3d prints replacements. I am not sure if he sends to spain though.
  19. I was on Facebook marketplace and the other 05 Anthracite Gti is for sale. Still has the accident damage. Both ironically are identical in spec (leather interior etc) https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1209180893252467/
  20. Yes. It was the Lupo 3L. It can be found on the below link from Google Books https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=Lx2mOwNM924C&pg=RA1-PA34-IA3&dq=vw+lupo&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi-leC10Y_5AhVUkFwKHXP-DacQ6AF6BAgIEAI#v=onepage&q=vw lupo&f=false
  21. From the back of this thread - I was contacted as to what magazines lupos where featured in. Here is the list of magazines i have which featured Vw Lupo reviews in period (1998 - 2006 mainly). 22. Ah yes. You will have that problem now as Vw where suppose to transfer everything to vw hertiage but alas this did not fully happen with some parts. Wiper linkage, best bet is to go ebay and look up Vw Lupo breaking. I am sure most scrappys will have this part. Its a standard part accross all Vw lupos (no matter if a Auto etc) With regards to the caliper carrier. I checked, gsf and autodoc. Autodoc say they do have that part avalaible, GSF said not. Eurocar parts i would of tried but it was not letting me select all he options bizarely. If you South East based i would recommend LCP, it is more of a tradtional parts store where you go in and say what you need, i have used them for getting parts for my GTi and have had no issues. https://www.lcpautomotive.co.uk/find.html
  23. Posted this on the new members thread but copying to here too. I have been meaning to post this find on here. But there is a load of German ex Vw videos which include the 3L https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjpam4HWSMU5EpPPgXbsdBg/featured I do have a press pack at home for the 3L (not for sale)
