  1. I am in the process of converting my arosa to Gti. I did my searches and I have swapped everything over, As it was a poverty spec arosa with no central locking I have swapped every single wire over, including all boot wiring the lot, now I have sorted front light wiring and got all rears sorted except the brake light. I have tried the switch from the polo and from arosa and I just have brake lights stuck on... I have feed going into switch (red/yellow) off top of my head ... And feed out is black/red but regardless of switch positions feed constantly goes out through rd/black. Have I just got 2 faulty switches (don't see how as worked before stripping) Or am I missing something as I did spot one part of guide saying you need to swap brake light wires. . Any help much appreciated. Dene
  2. Also doing this... Have a complete polo gti... From what iv read you need the complete internal loom. Behind dash, under carpets the lot!!? Well I'm pulling it all just incase anyway.
  3. Tried to pm you but I think your inbox is full... So thought I'd post it here! Hi mate do you by any chance still have these? Just read through your whole readers ride of the arosa to find the sad story that you sold it!!! Iv got a bmw 320 tourer and have switched to a blue arosa identical to yours. Haha it's like the other way round.. Cheers dene
  4. Sorry to thread ressurect but how did you get on with this conversion? I'm just about to undertake it and have a scrap polo gti... My arosa is big spec, no central locking, nothing... Any advice??
  5. thinking of doing a lupo build from the ground upwards.. if your breaking one and have a rolling shell afterwards would love to have a pm with a price and location cheers
  6. this is why i say never swerve.. brake safely and keep your line. bugger the creature i prefer a slightly damaged car to a buggered one!! unlucky mate.. list of damage might be good too...
  7. named drivers under 25 are not covered by directline on modified cars, you phone them up and declare them and they will remove you from the policy, talking from experience here, trying to declare weller steel wheels on a polo, 45minute phonecall and that was the outcome for me. and you wont get done for insurance fraud.. they threat with this but always help the customer out. I had a guy pull out infront of me, wrote my car off, had undeclared suspension, alloys and full exhaust. what they did when the report was filed was bump my excess up to 900 quid and said my policy had increased by 75 quid a month and due to the claim id have to pay the outstanding 10 payments.. so yes its not clever to drive with undeclared mods but in almost all cases you will not get a criminal record but the insurance will shaft you in the event of an accident.. oh and if your with directline the policy will be listed with the police as a non modified car so the rozzers will know your driving undeclared and if they choose to, give you 6 points sieze your car and give you a 250 squid fine on top. as you would be dring with an invalid insurance policy

    CBR600 carbs

bogg brothers made my cbr600 inlet manifold for my polo GT engine and TBH in my opinion i agree with grungeisdead on this.. they have a long waiting list and the quality of the manifold for the 240 quid I paid was quite frankly apalling. I work in an engineering firm and due to the time it takes to put the information in the cnc machine i thought id just go 'to the best' i was dissapointed to say the least. okay there was no leaks and they worked, but the flange was rough and flimsy and they put a bend in the inlet which caused the carbs to sit closer to the bonnet. okay so this is the position they sit in on the bike but this did cause issues with getting an airfilter to fit without forking out a fortune for a custom one. which it did end up being the only solution to take the manifold to my work and chop and change it, not something i expected to do after forking out so much. grungeisdeads cnc'd manifolds are of much better quality and for the price id be very happy to purchase one. I do not know him personally but he is very helful when it comes to carb conversions. he does not patronise people or call them ''tards'' he offers advice and if your local to him help, so calm down before you have a pop at people, or give out advise that isn't quite correct. or people will criticise you.
