  1. It's awkward to do, but it's not difficult.
  2. What did you use for correcting the paintwork? Looks a lot better!
  3. Think I followed you the other day; between Balloon-Wood traffic lights and through Wollaton..? Looks smart dude!
  4. Search for SoundmanCarAudio on YouTube; he was apparently the first in the world to make one. He's currently got Patents Pending for some of the mounts he makes!
  5. What are the gains of the amp on? It's possible that they're causing the distortion if they're turned up; turn them down?
  6. For maximum power output, wire your Subwoofer as 2Ohm and then connect it to your Amp. From the Amp specs it should be able to operate through 4Ohms, 2Ohms and 1Ohm. If it still isn't clear I'll explain in more detail....
  7. Not really with this headunit, as it screws into place behind the surrounding plastic. And the Aux jack is on the front too. Could be a future plan though, see how this goes! Other similar iPad installs (Soundmancaraudio on YouTube) removes all of the stereo, and replaces everything with an ADC; with built in equalizers etc.
  8. Each to their own! I only did it this way so that it could easily be reversed without the need to replace dashboard parts.
  9. I know it's been done before, think the title just sounds confusing. For such small magnets, it's incredibly stable!
  10. After setting up the system to this level, I then wanted to integrate my Nexus 7. Using a case and 2 Tetrax Magnetic mounts. The apps I use are: Car Home Ultra - Displays Speed, Direction, Location & Weather details. Power Amp - The best android music player. Tablet Talk - Allows the user to answer calls on the tablet & View/Reply to texts on the Tablet. For an Internet connection the Tablet is tethered to my phone via Bluetooth for 3G. The phone is connected to the Pioneer Stereo through Bluetooth so that calls are reproduced through the car's speakers.
  11. Thought I'd start a build thread, seeing as I've added a fair few things to my interior. Outside of the car is standard, just clean. Interior wise, I've gone through 2 or 3 set-ups and I'm finally happy with what I've got: Pioneer AVH-3200BT. Focal 165KR (Components). ~ Awesome! Rockford Fosgate P400.4. ~ Claims to output 50W rms x4 @ 4Ohms but I've measured it to be far higher. Audio System X Subwoofer. ~ Built like a tank, from Germany. Old vs. New Subwoofer: Both 12" and the new one weighs about 14Kg!

  13. Before you go mad, try changing your Box oil; mine used to put up a bit of a fight at times, put fresh oil in and it's running fine now.
  14. Keep an eye on eBay, I bought mine second-hand off there. I've seen 165 KR2's go for cheaper than some KR1's !
  15. Focal 165 KR. Above average cost, but paired with an amp, they're crazy. They handle Highs, Mids and Lows pretty well too!
  16. Saw a Lupo on eBay with this wheel in or one very similar. I'm not sure how!
  17. Never used the Beta head unit, but I think you'd need something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-AUDI-SKODA-SEAT-IPOD-AUX-IN-CONVERTOR-LEADS-2004-BETA-GAMMA-ETC-/140731885676?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item20c446286c However, this replaces the connection of the CD changer, so I think it's one or the other! As for mounting a flush, female AUX connector, I think it would look pretty smart! OEM+
  18. Might be the fuse on the back of the stereo itself!?
  19. Really like these! Jap style wheels look good too! Not quite sure on the the huge wheel nuts though!
  20. Pain in the arse to apply and there's much better products out there!
  21. Don't know if it's anything related, but I get a slight rattling sound whenever I'm between 1600-1900 RPM. I THINK it's just part of the exhaust resonating, anyone else think of anything?
  22. As far as I'm aware, there aren't any direct fit ones. However the factory ones are plastic rivetted on and are easy enough to remove. Beyond that I think you'll just have to buy some, see if the hole-patterns line up and if not then screw them on. The holes should be hidden when/if you put the originals back on.
