Which bit are the plastic trims? The internal roof moldings from the car? No, didn't to grab them!! I'll do £60 to Cardiff. That's fine. I have a friend near there. He might be able to take them up there for me and you can collect. How does that sound? He's in Abercarn.

Have you checked to see if you have the captive nuts installed? If so it would be easy.

Oh, yeah the air con, it should but the air con radiator is missing and one of the hoses. A discovery I made when I arranged with a mate to come round and recharge my air con and do a group discount for a few friends. They all got theirs done cheap and I discovered I had no air con. Fan and heater all works. Cam belt and water pump done at about 76k IIRC. The car had a front impact and was repaired about 2 years before I got it. It still has the correct wings but only a steel bonnet. I've had it just over a year, as you can tell by my posts on here. I did an oil change when I got it and it had another oil and filter in January. It doesn't have the aero wipers any more as it needed a new wiper arm which VW quoted about £40 for so I fitted a normal wiper arm setup off an Arosa and now it has normal wiper blades which are also half the price of aero ones and don't seem to lift at speeds above 40mph. I'm off to pick up the new car that replaces it tomorrow and the GF is home all day wednesday so I'll get some recent pictures of it then and post them up.

Both sides, all the clips, bolts and seals. Came out of a Lupo, took them out myself. Difficult to post safely so would prefer collection but will wrap as best I can and post if really desperate. It will cost a few quid as it will be heavy. £60 for the windows, post will be added to that once they are packed and weighed.

52 plate. 87k 1.6 16V 6 speed. MOT ticket until Jan 2012. Recent service, air/oil filter change. 2 good Toyos on the rear and half worn M+S tyres on the front. Car was a previous Cat C but I have an engineers report to prove road worthiness and it's had an identity check with the DVLA. Been back on the road over 3 years and passed last MOT with no advisories. £2800

Cars home and I don't have captive nuts so these will be sold on. I'm not keen on drilling holes and putting rivnuts in.

Here they are. I just read the how to fit them thread, seems I need to go and check if the body has captive nuts. If not then I will just sell them. Just got to wait for the girl friend to get home with it.

Hello Picked up some pop out rear windows from a Lupo today, don't know why it was being broken, wasn't that bad a condition. Just wondering if they will bolt straight on to my GTI, are all the pressings there under the window rubbers? Will it effect my insurance? I'm guessing I'll have to modify the trim panel around the window to bolt the pop out catch to the car. I would have had the ones off the Lupo it came from but they were dirty and a different colour. If the other half doesn't want them fitted or the panel cut up I'll probably sell them on so watch this space if your after some. Need a 1.4 16v engine, just ask and I can probably point you in the right direction. Cheers

Followed my Lupo when the girlfriend was driving the other day, turns out my high level light works but is REALLY dim. I could only see it when parked behind the car in traffic. What could cause dim LED's like that? Cheers

I have no condenser and pipe that goes from the condenser to the pump!! A friend came round today and recharged a load of friends A/C at my house in a bulk purchase deal. Turns out I have a load of bits missing!! The car was put back on the road over 2 years ago but I'm guessing the bits left off were expensive to replace so they just didn't bother. I have no head light washers as well but didn't really care about them. Gutted. Anyone have an exploded diagram of the A/C setup so I can figure out what to get? Oh and can you recommend anywhere to get parts. Thanks.

My new plugs had double electrodes and the ones I took off had triple. I didn't think you set the gaps as the electric just took the best route to which ever electrode. It wasn't possible to gap them anyway due to the design.

I have the same problem but couldn't find a thread about it. If someone has a "how to" to fix the light could you point us both in the right direction please. Or just any tips would be good. Thanks

Just made this and its on the road now. Once the weather improves the Lupo will actually get used less, never mind, its a sacrifice I'm prepared to make. hehe

Fitted a new stereo now and front side repeater as the old one had been damaged when removed and was full of condensation. Just driving it now, love it, plenty fast enough, sounds good and is nice and quiet when driven normally. Getting about 35mpg as well and thats mostly short trips locally.
