  1. Hello Nic, Has the change of boot lock eliminated the noise?
  2. Indeed, it has been replaced via my insurance company. In fact, I didn't have to inform my insurance company of that difference (specially as I knew that both windscreens cost about the same price). Note that I'm from France so I don't know if the procedure is the same for you. I called some windscreen fitters companies, to get a quote, and just explained them that difference. Most of them were not believing me, and told me they only have 1 reference for Lupo in their database. Then I went to VW dealer and the guy working at spare parts department gave me the address of a center they often work with, and which only fits genuine windscreens. So I just had to give to that center a quick phone call and asked the guy for ref 6E0 845 011 E. It was OK for him so he ordered it and I got it fitted the day after. edit: I forgot to say than it was even cheaper than the other companies which quoted for a standard windscreen. Hope that helps.
  3. I tried to annotate the picture to get it clearer (what I call "hole" is more a gap) Do you mean that there is another larger rubber under the one pictured ? I'm kinda fussy (not sure it's the right word to use) on that because I know how hard leaks are to locate, and I don't want to have a bad surprise next time it rains
  4. Thanks for your answer. Then I guess this is normal fitting. I was just wondering where water goes by, once it passes by that little gap/hole
  5. Thanks to this topic, I had my windscreen replaced with the genuine Saint Gobain reference, not the basic Lupo one as they did on the 2 previous replacements. However, I just noticed that there is a small gap with the seal at each corner in top of the windscreen. Do you have the same on yours ?
  6. Yes, you can easily change the fittings. I bought mats with "twist" fittings and changed them to "push" fittings.
  7. What is your exhaust system ? It seems bigger than the genuine one. Anyway, very nice car !
  8. My question may seem a bit stupid, but how does degreaser works ? don't you have product remaining after cleaning, that you have to rinse ?
  9. I take profit of this topic to ask, what's the best way to clean the engine bay without removing anything (except the plastic part covering the engine) What products and stuff should I use ?
  10. I have to get my windscreen replaced, and would like to know if somebody knows the reference of the large plastic part which is at the bottom of the windscreen (between it and the bonnet) where the wiper blades are fixed. Mine is cracked on one side and I would like to replace it with the windscreen. thanks for your help.
  11. Was wondering the same... I'll look closer then. Anyway, let's get this topic back to your sale. Thanks again
  12. Thanks for your quick answer So no need to remove the plate which is indide the car, everything must be done from the outside ? Because I removed the plate which is inside and there is nothing behind
  13. I profit of this topic to ask, what's the way to remove the mirror from the door ?
  14. Hello everyone, My name is Jean and I'm from France. I've been a member of CL for quite a long time now, but never took the time to explore the forum nor to introduce myself. I'm 26, and I own a Lupo GTi for about 5 years and a half now. 12/00, 5 speeds, about 100k miles, full stock specifications. Looking forward to discuss with you and make some improvements to give to this car a new youth !
