  1. I wanted to when it was very fresh in my mind, but I never got to take any photos at the time, I took the b*gger off twice too! I will see what I can do though Gareth
  2. If you ladies or gentlemen need any assistance with the fitting, feel free to drop me an email or PM! I fitted mine when I had the GTI. Thanks, Gareth
  3. ... and dont forget to take off the caps for the Washers, as these break when you pull the bumper off.
  4. I am afraid not, unless you have factory fitted Xenons? If you do, please visit What bulb do I need? on the Philips Site, this will let you know which bulb type is fitted. Hope this helps. Gareth XenonMaster.com
  5. Just wondering if anyone knew which way round they go? I have bought a set for the front, and the damn instructions are German. I cant make any logical sense on which way round these bolts go? There is a washer on one side, and what looks like a spacer on the other, has anyone fitted these before? Thanks for any info!! Gareth
  6. Ooh! May well be interested. I will PM you once I have decided if it's worth it, lol!! Cheers mate!
  7. That's cool mate. Dont worry, I will order them from the local VW, that my mate reckons he can get discount on. Will let people know the result though, as I am sure I am not the only person to have broken the clips, lol!!! Thank you once again for your time. Very much appreciate it!! Out of curiousity, how much can you get a driver's side door lock for? When I say door lock, it's more the electrical door mechanism, they are prone to going apparently, and although the door still works in every way, it does not send the signal to the ecu to say it's there, so the interior light does not work, and the "alarm" for the headlights being still on does not operate. It's not the lock, it's the electrical mechanism, where it locks the door against the body! (if that makes sense!) Thanks xXBullXx
  8. Thanks mate, I appreciate the offer too, but I have someone locally who claims he can get staff discount at VW, so it would save on postage, and be a lot less hassle for you. Cheers for your help so far though, very much appreciated! Gareth.
  9. No, there is the jet's themselves, the caps, and there is some stupid square block that clips both of them together, it's plastic, and it sits in between both to keep them on together. See below, the image shows it actually attached to the cover, and there are gaps on the washer jets, this is where this plastic piece fits in.(Exactly where the 12 points to) Thanks again!
  10. Perfect, and yes, they are the ones! the little ones that stick the caps onto the jets! Can you get the part number or advise which part is comes with? Cheers mate, you are a star!
  11. Thanks xXbullXx. Fantastic mate, that is brilliant. Is the left and right classed as looking from the rear of the vehicle? Which bit does the weird clip that holds the cover come with? Thanks again!
  12. Hi, I am after the part number, if anyone can find it for me, for the last part of the washer jets, that contain the clips for the front of the GTI's bumper. I broke the clips putting the bumper back on, and now have 2 gaping holes in my front bumper. Can anyone help at all. Thanks!
  13. Did you still need help? I replaced the bulbs in my xenon headlights myself, granted I was impatient and broke the washer jet clips, but I managed to do it on my own without any info. I made sure I was wearing rubber soles, and got some heavy duty rubber gloves, but did not even come near getting a shock. There is a screw that you need to get to, behind the headlamp, it is the last one holding the headlamp in. (you get to it via the back of the headlamp, between the wing (fig.18 on the image!)), I seem to remember it was a fiddly job to get it off, and now I have left it out, because it took the longest time. I did not take off the jets, just extended them to remove the clips! I used a fork to drag the washer jets through the bumper, and took off the painted caps, then let the washer return to it's position. Anyway, I have got a headlamp to be replaced, and therefore, I will be doing a "How to" guide for the xenon bulbs, and headlamp removal shortly. P.S - Peeping eyes, Xenonmaster.com - £38.50 per BRAND NEW BULB! (Maybe next time!)

  15. Hey guys / gals.... I have a load of D2S, D2R & D1S Xenon Bulbs for Sale. These are ridiculously expensive at retailers and Car Dealers, so I bought hundreds of them, to sell on to people who dont want to pay £100+ for a bulb from the stealers. My price is £45 a bulb . These are Genuine Philips / Osram Xenarc bulbs, and are the same as the standard OEM ones. These are for Standard Xenon headlights for most veedubs, bmw, mercedes, audi etc etc. I also believe these fit HID Kits, for which the bulbs are even more extorsionately priced. - They are bright White, 4300k (Standard Temperature as fitted standard to GTi's). Postage is free. I take credit / debit card, or payment by paypal, or cheque. If anyone is interested, give me a shout. PM or Email me.
