  2. Yeah 15mm front and 17mm rear gonna be pokey but wouldn't be happy running spacers that don't bolt to hub so had to be 15. I agree with what your saying joe and I'm going to go for a static stance and see how I feel in a year or so (:

  3. Coilovers FTW, if you're looking at spending proper money on coilovers, go for KW V1 Inox ones.

  4. I love a good mk1 with a valver lump in. You should take it out and spank it before you molest it with that 20V lump.

  9. I have the part numbers somewhere as I bought all the stuff new. Works out at around £1300. Then I bought GTI headlights which worked out at £500 for the pair. The GTI bonnet second hand was £100. If you use standard headlights and a standard steel bonnet and use standard Lupo wings you will cut about £500 for the headlights and £500 for the wings.

  10. The devil you know is better than the devil you don't. Once you've replaced those parts you know that they will last for a long time. Get into the habit of inspecting your car regularly every few months. Likeley hood then is that things will fail and you will notice them and replace. Doing more over a longer period of time means when MOT comes you won't have to fork out a lot of money in one go. Knowing how to do simple jobs yourself always helps. Even if its an hours labour you've saved thats probably about £50 you've saved yourself. Plus next time you know you can do it yourself. Nothing to say you won't go out and spend money on a new car and it will have its own set of faults which will need repaired. Stick with what you've got. Could always be worse, my car costs more than that for four new tyres!

  14. Removed it and omg the old one is rusty as hell, interestingly the old one is a Valeo (same as ebay jobby) and doesn't have a part number on it, so I'm guessing this has been replaced before at some point in it's life Thanks for all your help as shes now working again
