  2. Amp was fitted today and the system has far more punch I know some of you will be offended by the aesthetics, they don't bother me as it's for my ears, not to look at The reason there's still cables visible is the slack so I can still fold the rears fully forward if needed....

  3. it's good to point people in the direction of a website/ blog that shares the same passion for VW's simply for other peoples enjoymen. it could very well have all been put in a readers ride thread on here, but making your own website and doing it seperately is part of the fun, and keeping a blog/group of your friends is also fun everyones giving good for's and against's but the bigger picture its a group of VW owners, proud of what they have and want to show it off to a group of people that have the same interests and can share the appreciation they feel for their own vehicles, and take ideas away with them.

  6. ftted a ashley decat and manifold on my mates 1.4 75bhp and it pops the occassional flame but not often... rev limit might have something to do with that... on the other hand my 1.0e loves bouncing of the clocs

  8. as Deadmetal said, camber wears tyres slightly faster and unevenly, but the major factor is toe. i ran camber for months, and it wore the inside of my tyre out slightly faster. when i knocked my wheels out of alignment (due to a stupid fault of my own) the toeing was that bad my brand new front tyres were completely bare after a month tops. i recommend highly to get your tracking done. p.s. as a note, the more camber you have, the worse your car will handle like an ice skate in the wet, as koop briefly mentioned above.

  9. I'll test this when I get my 16s back on. If I'm reading any less than 3.7K rpm at an indicated 70 mph I should just about have enough time to eat my hat before my brain implodes.

  12. Whenever you lower a car you should get it tracked properly. It's not camber than kills tyres, it's toe. Get it sorted by a garage and you should be fine.

  15. Just have a 1.0L dude, Lupo's are pretty cool looking cars anyway so why butcher a GTI (or install a body kit), it'll still cost a **** load mate. Even a stock 1L will look better than your mates crappy M reg Renault Clio or Y reg 206. If I was a 1st year driver, I'd be pretty grateful to be driving around in a car as safe, reliable and comfortable as a 1.0L Lupo (I'm not a 1st year driver, and still drive one lol!). Just buy a 1.0L Petrol, they're cheap'ish off eBay, Gumtree, Autotrader, etc, reliable and trust me, if you shop around you can get insurance for just over a grand, which is mint compared to some places and some cars. That's obviously a first year driver policy, after then, your premiums will drop massively.
