Thanks guys. Got the bushes in and the axle bolted back up. Replaced all the bots with stainless ones, looks alot neater. Still to re-fit the painted stubs and the airpipes etc. then onto the front end

Got the subframe back powder coated a very bright red. Got all the broken stuff off and fitted the new sump, just waiting on a clutch and some other worn out parts before I can get it all back together. Shouldn't be too long now

defo gives me food for thought! What do you think of the coilovers as i am tempted by getting a set of them? many thanks Dave P.S How easy was it to remove the rub strips?

:-/ thats a bit of a sod then lol i would rather it be to the left than by the fuel tank then :L better to be safe than sorry lol and if i wrapped plenty of heat wrap around the exhuast then would that stop the bumper from warping ?

Spliced in the new part of the loom and tried it out, Fuse had blown but swapped it over from passenger side and hey presto got the blighter working!! Happy ive managed to close the window at last, now i just need me a switch from VW on monday and a fuse

*UPDATE* Well i had a chat to them this morning when they were quiet with nobody around and they were mortified. They were very apologetic and couldnt have been nicer. Unfortunately the owner wasnt around so ive left my details and she will be in touch to "sort something out" Cant say fairer than that, thats all i wanted was an apology and some aknowledgement of their poor attention to detail. As for the repair I took the switches apart and it was burnt out inside and full of moisture; sort of what i was expecting. I have been to a breakers and aqiuired a replacement loom from an arosa so shouldnt be too tricky to repair, just need a new switch now!
