  1. It's a full lupo gti loom on a polo gti ecu, had a closer look and compared the two looms and it appears that the communication wires (2 orange wires wound together) are in the same position on the ecu. The pin assignments to the obd plug are different, however even after swapping them around it still won't scan. My other thought was that the ccm module in my car isn't that of a gti so possibly this might be why it isn't communicating? Sam
  2. Hi Mate, The scanner is a stand-alone unit so it's not run off a computer, had it scan several other cars so it's not a problem with that as far as i'm aware. Suppose it's a poasibility that a wire could be damaged somewhere, i'm not sure where i'd start looking in terms of which wires are for communication & what components they travel to! Drove the car yesterday and it appears to be in limp mode (will only rev to around 4000 rpm) & the speedo doesn't work. So really needing to scan it so i can rectify the problems with it! Cheers, Sam
  3. Still unable to find a solution at present - any ideas would be appreciated! Sam
  4. Just wondered if anyone could shed some light on this... I've nearly completed a polo gti engine swap, decided i'd go the route of running it on a complete lupo gti engine loom & interior loom so that i could get the advantages of the battery in the boot, ease of fitting central locking & alarm etc. Everything looks spot on apart from that the car won't fault scan with my diagnostic tool, has this been heard of before? I was wondering if it may be that i'm running the engine on the polo ecu which could have different pin assignments, after closer inspection of the obd wiring layout it is different on the polo interior loom to the lupo gti's, however even after changing the wiring locations at this end i've had no luck. Basically when i attempt to scan the car i get a link error, so there is power to the diagnostic tool just it won't communicate! Any ideas? I'm concerned as without being able to scan i can't code the polos key to the ccm and so on so the install of the lupo gti loom will have been pointless. Thanks in advance, Sam
  5. Hi There, I'm in need of a central locking mechanism out of a drivers door, but it has to include all screws and the cable which attaches to operate the door handle. Probably a bit specific what i'm asking for, so if anyone has a drivers door i might be tempted to take it (obviously without mirror, window & regulator) it would just need to have the central locking mech. & handle untouched. Even if it's a knackered door all i need is the locking mech. and bolts/handle cable to get mine working. If i can collect as near to Derby is best for me. PM me or text 07530 290 772 Thanks in advance, Sam
  6. for a lupo 1.4s with central locking & electric windows? Anyone have any? Cheers
  7. Still in need if one? If anyone has one Cheers
  8. I'm after a Black Carpet in good condition if anyone has one? Can pick up within reasonable distance from Derby Thanks, Sam
  9. Had it running today.. Pretty cool! just the central locking which is gonna be the headache i reckon.

I'm keeping it mate.. Found a donor car in the end!
  11. its a mission tracing them out mate, they shoot off all over the place. Had a look on elsa but it's just as hard to follow!
  12. Hi People, I've been completing this conversion on my 75 bhp Lupo over the past few weeks using a donor Polo Gti for parts. So far I’ve been getting on really well, Brakes are on, engine is in and engine loom all plumbed in. The part I’m a little confused with is the interior loom as you might expect. I see that in some posts on here you use the original lupo central locking wiring from my old loom and couple this together into the original polo gti interior loom, which I have started to strip down. The bit I’m struggling with is what exactly comes out and how this works in terms of electric windows and other features in the door like the speakers. As far as I’m aware, I have to use the polo gti's key & ignition barrel. However how does this work in terms of central locking? If I have to use the wiring from my lupo its not remote locking. So would this mean I’d have to switch the door barrels out from the polo into my lupo? And I’m not sure this is even possible... The other question is which loom is used to power the electric windows and other equipment in the doors; do I just take wiring for the central locking or for the whole door loom? Seems quite a complex job having started stripping the wires out the loom. If anyone could help or clarify anything for me I’d massively appreciate it! I’m itching to get the car back on the road and this is the final stretch really! Thanks, Sam Quick photo of progress by the way... Forgot to mention I have elsawin if that will help me out
