  1. Cars sold now people! Thanks for all your interest and kind words!!!! Happy motoring!!!
  2. Sorry its back to 2 wheels for me!! Cars just don't give the excitement of a motorcycle lol
  3. Time on the eBay auction ran out so I've relisted. Click HERE! Price has dropped and I've added "Make Me An Offer". Take a look guys!!
  4. Yeah got all the receipts and done the log book. Its a warning to all Lupo/Arosa/Polo owners to have their cam belt and pullies checked regularly every 20k! The service manual says 60k but thats bollox (excuse my french lol). Did that leather go straight into your arosa wayne or did it need modding?
  5. Thanks mate! Know anyone looking for one? No thats just a normal plate. I never really saw it as a good one but I guess its quite cool lol
  6. NOT SPAM!!! Just wanted maximum coverage so posted this in a couple of different areas! Sorry!!!
  7. Hi guys!! Anyone interested in an Arosa Sport? I've decided to go back to biking! You all know the spec. All standard except I've added VW MFD and 6CD changer. 52k on the clock. Just had to change the engine for a donor as the cam belt snapped, the donor engine only done 32k. Brand new clutch and cam belt kit, brand new filters sparkies etc. Runs like a dream!! Listed on eBay
  8. Thanks for all your suggestions guys! I rang Seat, they said I need to take it to a dealer (even though its un drivable) and have them check it out. They then fill out a report and submit it for a "good will" proportional refund to the cost of repair. Doesn't sound too promising but I guess its my only option. They did try to deny what was written in the service guide though! On the other had, there are some engines on ebay for sale lol. Anyone know of anyone selling the 6 speed box off a Lupo GTi? Figure I might add one as I'm going to have the engine out at some point lol.
  9. Yeah I'll do that in future. But that doesn't escape the fact that the Seat information is incorrect in two completely seperate publications, one of them being their own owners manual. VW got it right, Seat didn't. They ow me a new engine!!!!! (Sorry for snapping, its been a hard week lol)
  10. When did they change the regs? It says in my Owners Manual 60k for the first check, doesn't mention a time frame. Was that just for Lupos maybe? My mechanic didn't touch the belt as it was still 11k off from needing a check as far as he knew. I can't really blame him for that. I'm going to call Seat today and see what they have to say for themselves. I'll post the results later. Cheers guys!!
  11. Hey Guys! Here's a question for you..... I got my 1.4 Sport Arosa serviced at 49k a couple of months ago. 2 days ago my cam belt broke (mileage reading 52k). My mechanic showed me the recommended time to check the belt is 60k then every 20k after that (quote from Auto Data manual, used by many independent mechanics). My question is...... has anyone else had this go and got anything out of Seat? I'm looking at a new engine aparently which I don't plan on paying for myself when I see it as Seat's fault. What do you think?
  12. Oh right!! I did wonder where they stick there cable to read ECU codes. Thanks Tigz Is there anything you dont know about these little motors? lol
  13. Took my ashtray out tonight, just exploring the dash and centre console seeing what goes where and stuff. Found this multi pin female pink connector. Looks like its there from factory. Anyone know what its for?
  14. Thanks mate!! I dont use anything special, turtle wax car shampoo with built in wax then turtle wax hard shell wax, armoral tyre shine. The shampoo is a bit of a bitch to dry without streeking. I'm having second thoughts about those cup holders now. I quite like that little Arosa logo there style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> but then again I like the strips down the side of the doors too style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> Thanks Tigz. I figured it was there, just wanted to be sure before I rip anything out lol.
  15. Thanks guys!! Apreciate the comments style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Can anyone tell me where the lambda sensor is located? Is it that thing sticking out of the exhaust manifold? Think mine needs changing.
