  1. Hi, My drivers door was hit by a van the other week and the only thing left to repair is the part which connects the barrel mechanism to the locking part. Would anyone know the proper name for this part and the part number to find it? My Lupo is a 52 SDI. Thanks for any help
  2. Thanks for letting me know what they are called. I've looked through the posts on here, but can't find anyone who has written up how to remove it. I've found a YouTube clip which showed how to remove one from a dodge. Could anyone help me out please?
  3. Hi, The mechanism which holds the door and provides resistance when you open it (what ever it's called!) has come away from the fittings. The bolt unscrewed itself and now I'd like to get it back together. How has anyone done this before? Many thanks for any suggestions.
  4. Hi, I went to plug in a phone charger in the cigarette lighter socket the other day and it didn't work. That one was easy as there was no fuse in the slot, so I took the 20amp fuse from the rear window heater and inserted in the slot. Then turned the key to the "turn electrics on" stage and inserted the charger, the unit has an LED to indicate power present, this glowed like a lighthouse and then went 'pop'. I pulled the charger out smelt it and it was dead. So was the the fuse in the slot. So, what happened and what went wrong? Many thanks.
  5. I was hoping it was some ones elses, but I park so far from anyone else that I'm sure I would have seen it this morning when I parked. I saw it when I came back from town. There is also no rust and sharp edges to the most front facing break. Questions are ... Can I still drive? Is it difficult expensive to replace?
  6. Hi, Came back from town and noticed that turning into a parking spot I felt and heard a "twang". In my parking spot at work was this peice of metal, which was on the floor to the right of centre at the front. Any help greatly appreciated.
  7. Hi, I'm trying to fix the linkage for the wiper arms and need to remove the plastic trim which it moves under. Has anyone removed this before, if so how?
  8. Pedal box was changed about two months ago.
  9. It seems that it's the pedal end. The fitting to the clutch arm in the engine seems sound, but the pedal is just 'floppy'
  10. Hi, My clutch has just gone. I was turning into my street and the clutch pedal just went to forward. And then I could not get the gear out of second. A few months ago the clutch pedal 'went' and the box had to be replaced, Could anything else be the problem?
  11. Hi, My wiper arm failed the other day and I've now got a 25% better one from the scrappies. It's been fitted and the nut has been tightened very tight, so no loose arm. I have however noticed though that it seems the linkage underneath from the motor to the arms has come apart at the passenger side. Does anyone know how the two parts are fixed back together? Has a bolt fallen out or do they "snap" together? Thanks.
  12. Hi, Is the rear wiper arm the same as the front passenger on a 2001 1.7 SDI. I mean can they be swapped as the front one has lost its thread and Halfords don't sell them. Or does anyone have one they would like to part with? Thanks.
  13. I haven't smirked at a thread before, especially not one I've started. Everyone chill !!! Pete, I don't check my posts often enough so missed your's. Thanks for ALL the above posts. I have my new starter motor. Had a brief go at it on Saturday morning, but the kids decided to have other ideas and then on Sunday the wife had other ideas. So maybe get around to it this Saturday, unless anyone else has other ideas?
  14. Cool. How much are they and are they easy to get of? Any recommended places?
  15. Mine is a 1.7 Diesel. So it doesn't have a belt or anything. I've googled pictures of it and it seems to just poke inside something, so should be a case of undoing it and replacing it with another one.
